Does anyone have a Jet Blue card? I am thinking of getting one in addition to the Southwest one I already have. there are some places JB goes that Southwest doesn't, that's my only reason. Any advice would be helpful.
I have it. To be honest not that it is a Barclay Card I don't like it as much. I miss my American Express and have considered just switching to a rewards American Express card. My fiance did that and he much prefers the statement credits and visa gift cards he can get from the AmEx over the Jetblue. It is nice to have the 50% off on board purchases though so I kept mine for now.
There was a point we were cycling the card so much that we didn't ever pay for flights it felt like. We were probably paying for half of the flights we took but I we were definitely able to travel to family visits more with the card.
I USED to have it before they switched to Barclay's. I was planning on getting the new one but was waiting for a better sign up offer. The perks are only really good for Jetblue purchases. I think the new version is better than the old but it's still not THAT great.
I signed up for the AmEx version about 9 months before they were due to switch to Barclay to collect the current sign-up bonus of 20K mile. I cancelled right before the switch so that I would be considered a new customer and hopefully eligible for another sign-up bonus. It seems like they had a problem with bringing over old data which included accounts that had been closed, so I've been giving them some time to get things sorted out before applying. We fly JetBlue a lot when we visit Disneyland so this is something I'll get in the future. I agree with the PP that the benefits are a little better than the old, but I really miss the AmEx offers. Between Costco switching to Visa and JetBlue moving to Barclay I lost three of my four AmEx cards.
I have it and like it, too. My other travel card is a Chase Sapphire--between the two, I feel like I can get most of the travel I want with points (if I have the points, of course).
I live by a JetBlue hub airport so 99% of my (pretty frequent) flights are JetBlue and it's def worth it for me. I do think the new one has better rewards than the old one, but I do have one of the yearly fee ones so maybe that makes a difference.
I recently tried to book Jetblue seats through the Chase Sapphire portal. There were only four seats available. I then went through the jetblue site instead and nearly all the seats were available (we wanted more leg-room seats for a long flight).
I signed up to get the 30K mile bonus which paid for our return flights this year. I use it for groceries and restaurants since they give 2x points for that. For everything else I use my Barclay Arrival Plus since I can use those points for car rental and my tix through Undercover Tourist as well as airfare on any airline.

yes! the points you accrue don't really act like credit card points, they get pushed over to your JetBlue account--like, they're added to your rewards account with the airline directly. so you just use them like regular jetBlue points to pay for any JetBlue purchase, regardless of seat. there's a processing fee involved (like, $5-10) per ticket, but that's it.
