Watching the parade was definately the highlight of the day. It is interesting to see the balloons in person because they really aren't that big, although on tv they seem so much larger. They didn't use any super big ones in the parade but had them around the park. It was fun watching the handlers control them. It wasn't that windy but I can see where it is hard. The handlers were made up of US employees and then volunteers that were at the parks that day. If had been there for 2 days I would have loved to be a handler for one of the parades.
After the parade we headed for the rides but saw Grover across the water first! I just love Sesame Street!
Dallas loves quite a few and I knew we didn't have much time left. First we hit Woody Woodpecker's rollercoaster. He just loves that thing.
Then he had his choice of 1 other ride and he chose Men in Black. We walked by the Simpson's on the way and I told him he might like it. We had 2 passes left (thank goodness, the wait was over 90 minutes) so him and Lin went on it.
Dallas has no idea who the Simpson's are but LOVED the ride. He ended up saying it was his favorite. Lin said he laughed through the whole thing!
We had gotten some popcorn while on the ride and he had a few pieces. He just loves popcorn and I never let him have it until about a month ago so he scarfs it down!
Since it wasn't as late as we thought it would be he had time for Men in Black and was excited!
Here are some not so great pictures of the streets and few more balloons.
They had a huge christmas tree with tons of lights. We heard them lighting it but couldn't see at the time. It changed colors and was really pretty.
They also had some windows done up super cute with actual items from macy's. I just love windows as I am sure you have figured out by now!
Sorry none of the pictures are that great.
By the time we were done walking around we headed towards the front and they were having the last call for Disaster. So the boys went on that and we just sat outside waiting. I enjoy people watching and prefer to skip the rides most of the time, been there done that sort of thought.
We finally got out of the park around 8 and headed for a place to eat. We ended up at Fuddrucker's (in the little plaza right outside downtown disney area) and it was delicious! Fuddrucker's is always good, but after eating disney food for a couple of days this was great! I tire quickly of disney food.
As we were done the fireworks were going off somewhere (maybe MK because they seemed better then Epcot's) so we stood and watched them. I just love fireworks!
I ran in Goodings and got some applesauce and muffins and we headed back to the room. I took a picture of our window since we had hung some lights.
