Jersey Week

Has anyone been to Universal on Jersey week (Nov. 5 - 12 ) this year, and if so was it very crowded? I will be going then in NOv. 06, and was wondering if I would need to buy express passes if not staying on-site.

I went this past year during Jersey week. We went on Thursday and Friday (nov 10 and 11). I want to say waits were anywhere from 20-40 minutes, generally. We waited about 40 minutes for Shrek, and it was really annoying when the Express passers went in ahead of us, and our line moved SO slowly. Of course, just as we got up to the front, they opened up the other theater (we hadn't realized they were only operating at 50% capacity.) This was around noon. We did say to ourselves we would never come again without FOTL access. I'm not sure if they ever offer the Express Pass for free any more (they did not offer it when we were there) which is the part that really annoyed us. I'm probably not answering your question very directly, but for us, I would stay on site just for the FOTL access, which is what we plan on doing for our trip next August.
