Jersey Week?

Can anyone tell me about Jersey Week? I have a short trip planned Nov. 4-7 and I read on another site that it will be very crowded (rivalling peak season) then due to Jersey Week. The Unofficial Guide website puts crowd levels at 5 and 6 for those days, and there is availability at all the resorts for those dates.
I would appreciate it if someone who has November experience, especially during Jersey Week, can give me an idea about what to expect, for planning purposes.

There is a teacher convention in NJ the 9th and 10th of November. A lot of school districts close the whole week (6th thru 10th).

I've been there twice for Jersey Week. I would say the crowds are moderate. It is definetly not like peak season.

It tends to get busier as the week goes on because Veterans Day is the 11th. The dates you plan to go shouldn't be that busy, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

We are going to be visiting during "Jersey Week" as well... which is fitting being a Jersey-itte. We were there in 2002 but it didn't seem that crowded. I guess I am wondering too how crowded this year will be. I know park attendance is up this year and I am wondering if it will carry over. I've also kept an eye on resort availability and it seems that all of the Deluxes are full except Animal Kingdom Lodge at which you can get discounts. Is this because of conventions or tourist? Does anyone know how bookings are at the moderates and value resorts? Do the deluxes usualy fill up first and then people work their way down, or do the values fill up and people book the higher cost rooms next?

Anyway, we are excited about going back whatever the crowd levels...

We've been there a few times during Jersey Week and will be going back this year.

The crowds are no where near peak season crowds. If they were, I wouldn't be going during this week.

We were there, this past Easter week...couldn't move...and mid-July...crowded and HOT!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Seriously, the weather can't be beat and the crowds aren't that bad.

Jersey week... Cool! Will have to keep that in mind now that I'm out of teaching. I do remember that my students would often disappear that whole week even though we only had 2 days off for teachers to go to Convention! (Of course, lots of teachers skipped convention and went away, too!)

"Jersey Week" seems to be getting busier and busier each year. Many schools besides Jersey ones have days off that week, too. The Fri-Sat will be very busy, because many kids have a three day weekend because of Veterans Day. Many people expect early/mid November to be quiet and all rides "walk-ons", but when so many kids are off from school, it will be busy. Even so, there were plenty of AP discounts available for that week for values and moderates, so hopefully it won't be too bad!
