Jersey Week?

I'm trying to help my parents plan a trip to WDW in early October. They will be taking my nephew, whom they are raising. They're looking at going October 4 and returning on the 8th. Is Jersey week during this time?

Also what are the parks like during early October. TIA

November 9th and 10th are the NJEA convention days this year, so Jersey Week should be the first full week in November.
