This will be a moot point if Wine and Dine is happening as I would like to run the 10k.

We have never done both theme parks on one trip (have never been to universal at all)

Fly in on a Wednesday and this will be a resort/pool day. This would be either at Dolphin or Hard Rock

Thursday would be HS if Staying at Dolphin on Wednesday and then at the end of the night we’d uber over and check in at Hard Rock. Then Friday and Saturday are all at Universal.

or

Thursday and Friday would be Universal if staying at Hard Rock Wednesday and at the end of Friday we would Uber over to Dolphin and then Saturday would be HS. ****this makes more sense in my mind but wanted to run it by some eyes. And this would def be the case of wine and dine happens.
Thanks!

Pretty straightforward not too big of a deal.
For crowds sake, I'd almost hope that you'd have to do Hollyweird first, on presumably a lower crowd day than Saturday. So then you'd have the Unlimited Express pass for Friday and Saturday. It's almost like a 6 of one, half dozen of the other, BUT, if you are paying for Unlimited Express pass and Thursday and Friday are super low crowd days, unless you really wanted to stay at HRH, you could have gotten a cheaper room at like Cabana Bay (or wherever.) The low crowd is only a "maybe" tho. The Express Pass will save you time in the end no matter what.

I really need to learn more about Universal and all of the options!

I would do Disneyworld first. It’s just one day of lines then on to UO with unlimited EP. Also, leaving wdw is hard emotionally to me, so having something to look forward to helps. We love UO but leaving UO is just not as hard as leaving wdw.
We’ve done multiple trips doing both resorts/parks and found doing wdw first works best.
Hope this helps.

Something I keep thinking about is the fact that we only get one pool day. We’ve been to Dolphin many times and I wonder how much “more” the kids and us would enjoy Hard Rock’s pool.

I’m thinking November Jersey Week, EPCOT Remys Adventure might be open... Food & Wine... probably want to avoid weekend.
The Express Pass at Universal will be more valuable on Friday& Saturday... the Hard Rock pool is way cool and the Pool Bar overlooking the area has great service and food.
And the Sunday Brunch at HR “The Kitchen“ phenomenal food, quality and very reasonable price with lots of food brought to table w/ option to order fresh omelette in price...but oh that French Toast and omelette so fresh and fluffy good! I made reservation for the Kitchen on Open Table for Xmas Day...

I've actually never been, just ramping up my studying. We were sposed to go in November 2020 - we normally go to Wallyworld right around Jersey Week / Half Marathon, very early Nov. (We like staying at Dolphin too!) We were planning a short stay at Dolphin, then doing 4 days at UO - probably Royal Pacific.

With the Unlimited Express Pass you'll get from HRH, you don't have too much to worry about, but if you're a planner, well...you know the drill.
We LOOOOOVE the Dolphin pool, but my guess is that HRH's pool is no slouch.

Maybe if by Nov of this year, if all things fall into place the right way, we could cross paths at the ol grotto pool. If we're there, we're hitting the pool twice a day. We'll be in the chairs behind the waterfall.

Awesome! I’ll look out for you during the next 10 months of planning!

Thank you for the motivation to re-take a look at the order. I'm realizing that if we do start at Disney, the Seasonal Annual Passes at Orlando that I'm considering getting will be applicable for a Jersey Week 2022 trip as well. Each day counts I guess! OK - I can plan a bit better now! Although Wine and Dine is still looming......
