Jersey week? First week of November. Anyone have any inforamtion on this?
Would like to know if the weather is water park friendly?
How are the crowds? Last trip was in June of 05 so as long as they are same and not any worse then that time of year we will be good to go.
Holiday decor, is it up yet at this time?
Please fellow disers any I mean any infor at all.

The NJ teachers convention is Nov 6 & 7
Super Soaps weekend is Nov. 8 & 9
The Food and Wine festival should be ending that weekend.
Veteran's Day is Nov. 11th

The first MVMCP should be around the second week of Nov and that is when the Xmas decorations will be up.

The first week of Nov will not be as busy as June, so you should be fine! You might even be able to catch the last MNSSHP which last year was on Nov. 2nd. That party is really great!

The weather could be chilly or really warm. You need to pack and plan for anything! We have gone many times in Nov. and have always had at least one day of swimming weather. We haven't gone to a water park. Temps will normally be in the upper 70's.

As for Jersey week I would guess that most NJ'ers will take that week off(2nd - 9th). You could do a poll for all NJ people to see what days they are going. That could help others who plan to go in Nov.

We were just there this Oct 31st to Nov. 14th. The firts week of our Vacation was Beautiful, the weather was warm and sometimes hot. The second week we were warm during the day and chill at night.
We are going back again this year.

Theres a Jersey week - how cool! Do other states have their own week too? To bad we are going Dec 9-16, we will miss it by just weeks. I bet you the Boardwalk Inn gets packed - we stayed there, and everyone that worked there said that most of the people that book there are from Jersey, not all, but a lot.

Thanks for posting this OP, I'm interested in this info too! We plan on going Nov 15-22nd and we are hoping the Christmas decorations will be up!

Being that we are from the north and people are saying it in the 70 to mid 80's that time of year in Disney I think we would be able to swim and do the water parks being that is the average temp for our summers here, unless ofcourse we have a heat wave which is happening more and more, dam globel warming, Anywho, as for Jersey week. that is nothing offical its just the time of year when the schools here have a week {first week in Nov} that they are closed for teachers in session for something like an average of 3 days. Therefore it has been unoffically called Jersey week.;)

We've done Jersey week twice. The 1st time was only a partial week (after a cruise) and went to MK that Sat. it was jam packed and we swore never again. Of course, never say never. We went again this past Nov. 3-11. It was great. Lines were 30 min. tops and yes, we avoided all parks that Sat. but would def. do again as my kids had 3 days off that week.
There were 5 other kids from ds11's class going too!:goodvibes

We go for "Jersey Week" every year. We live in New Jersey! They call it "Jersey Week because most schools are off for that week. Election day is Tuesday and the New Jersey teachers conference is Wednesday and Thursday, so we all flock to WDW to beat the summer heat and crowds. The weather has always been really nice, 80-85 during the day. Last year it was cool in the evening, (in the 50's) requiring jackets/sweatshirts. We have never had an issues with crowd levels or lines, even on the weekends. I guess it is all perspective because we are used to waiting 2 hours for rides at Great Adventure, so 20-30 minutes seems like nothing.

we arrived at WDW Nov 11 and left Nov 19, great swimming weather a few days (swam at POP_) and sweatshirts on other days........never had Jersey week crowds, they left before the 11th. Great week, 20 min or less waits everywhere.:cloud9:  we went to the first TWO MVMCP! Loved em!:santa: Xmas decorations up all over by the 15th.:santa: :santa:

Do you guys drive or fly? I was wondering because I checked Continental out of EWR and could not find a flight for less than $329 :scared1: I'm used to $199 at the most (and even that bugs me)
Is there a trick to getting there cheaper?

We have done both. When we fly we use SouthWest and always get Great Deals with them. When we flew in Nov. it was only $30.00 each way:cool1:
You can't beat that.
The most we ever spent with them was $69.00 each way.

We are in South Jersey so we fly out of Philly. We flew Delta last year for $142 round trip.

:scared1: WOW! That's amazing...I thought $150 was a pretty good deal. I'll have to keep an eye out. Which airport do you fly out of?

We fly out of Philadelphia Airport. If you don't have Ding download to your computer from Southwest then do it that is how we got such a great deal.

I'm interested in hearing more about Jersey Week.... so bump, bump

The reason it is called Jersey week because schools are out for Teachers Convention on Nov 6 & 7 and most of them head to Disney that week. Nothing special going on just Disney full of Jersey people.

I completely agree. We usually get $49 each way + tax. This has been for at least the last 5 or 6 trips incl. one just a few weeks ago. You have to be flexible and go during slow time. This past Jersey Week we paid $69 each way. Still not bad really but seems high when you're used to $49. :goodvibes

I haven't gone during Jersey Week yet, but plan on it starting in 09, when my oldest is in 1st grade.

I normally go in late September or early October.

I fly out of Newark and fly Jet Blue or Continental. I've flown out of Philly once on Southwest-- but only b/c of a super cheap rate. Paying for parking at Philly nearly offset the savings.

I get rates between $49 - $99 each way on Jet Blue or Continental. I find that whenever there's a Jet Blue sale, Continental will also have matching rates without advertising a sale. I check both websites and will just choose the best times and dates for me.

I buy my airfare around July- looking around now, South West and Jet Blue haven't even posted their fall schedules yet.

I'm on the mailing list for Jet Blue and find out about the sales that way. I love Jet Blue-- the TV, snacks, and friendliness of the staff can't be beat!

Does your state have its own week at WDW?

JERSEY Does !!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
