I know crowd levels at Magic Kingdom and to a lesser extent, the other Disney Parks are higher during Jersey week, but is it noticable at US / IOA?

I'm planning to go Saturday Nov 8 and Sunday Nov 9. Sunday should be OK as most have to be on a plane that day - right?

I would think Sunday would be better. I can't honestly remember last year much but I would imagine the crowds will increase that week.

I'm at a loss!What is Jersey week??
It's when the schools in NJ close for the week for a fall break.

That's terrible, I'm going to be there next weekend, and you're telling me I'm going to be overrun with Mets fans?!

Now now there! Not all Jerseyites love the Mets! We've got some Yankee fans in our house too!! :rotfl:

Actually Jersey "week" is only two days off school for us. The teachers in NJ have off the Thursday and Friday of the first week of November to attend a teacher's conference. The thing is that people typically either pull their kids out of school earlier that week or stay over into the beginning of the week following.

In fact that's what we're doing next year!

We did Disney that way in '07 and the crowds didn't get bad until Thursday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were very heavy crowds.

Hope that helps and let me know if I can answer any more questions.

Thanks, E :)

Thanks.

Based on some e-mails on the Disney board it seems that many people from NJ are staying over the weekend into the next week because they have off for the election or Veteran's day. So while I was hoping they would all be in a TSA line at the airport on Sunday, it seems they will be in my line at the park. :)

Based on prior experience, I know the crowds at Disney will be higher. And you see lots of posts about NJ residents going to Disney. But you don't see much about US / IOA. So I was just wondering if anyone knew if it would be a proportional increase compared to Disney, or not. I know with Gay Days, the US / IOA crowds are not affected as much.

I don't think you'll see much increase in attendance due to Jersey Week. It may be just a little more crowded than usual...but should still be relatively empty. It won't get busy until Thanksgiving...then it dies down again until the 3rd week of December.
