Day 5 - November 2
Yes, we voted by absentee ballot before leaving home (actually a couple of weeks before leaving home).
MK today. Somehow the trip isn't really underway until you have walked down Main Street. I stopped at CP to get a PS for lunch then we headed to Fantasyland. Did Tea Cups, Pooh, Snow White and Peter Pan. DD agreed we didn't need to do Dumbo anymore (thank god). Small World is closed so finished up with PhilHarmagic then moved on to Tomorrowland. No waits for anything.
Did Buzz, CoP and Space Mountain. Stopped for smoothies before moving on to Adventureland. Did Jungle Cruise but PoC had the first long wait we had encountered so we skipped it. It was also time for lunch so we walked back through Frontierland for lunch at CP.
Food was wonderful as always. We would keep eating here whether it was a character meal or not. We did meet a CM from DIS while having lunch - that was a nice surprise.
After lunch, we went back to Frontierland and rode BTMRR twice since there was hardly any line. Splash Mtn was closed for some reason so we went to Liberty Square and did Haunted Mansion. So nice going offseason when you can walk on to just about everything without much wait (or use FP for the occasional line).
About 4:30, decided to leave MK. Originally planned to go to MGM to see Fantasmic but on the monorail, DD and DW both decided they were beat and not up to it. So we headed out, stopped at Winn Dixie and picked up some stuff for dinner and went back to the condo. After dinner, I was restless so I took a drive out 192 East for about 10 miles just to see what was around and kill some time. Came back and, after putting DD to bed, showered and watched election coverage.
No park tomorrow, but lots of other good stuff.
