edit: er, as in until today he wasn’t alive, which Is d— oh never mind.

Same. DH and I both thought he'd died quite a while ago.
Which is equally as sad I suppose.

i know JLL for 2 things - great balls of fire, and marrying his 13 year old cousin.

can’t say I am at all affected by hearing of his demise.

I’ve got mine! And it’s true, several nurses at work are out due to sick kids, all of them flu.

Some of our hospitals are requiring the flu vax but interestingly ...not another COVID booster. It's been well over a year since the last one. Lots of influenza A, severe upper respiratory infections, strep, RSV, etc. showing up in the hospitals Too many with weak immune systems. But just one of the many consequences...

Not even sure why I clicked on this thread because I clearly don’t know who he was. When I read a headline he had died I thought it was the guy from the telethons when I was a kid. After reading here I looked him up…sounds like he was a hot mess

Nope, it’s not. I looked it up after reading here. The telethon guy was a comedian named Jerry Lewis. This guy was a musician named Jerry Lee Lewis. Sounds like both of their personal lives were a hot mess!

You’re right. I saw something from the MDS association about being saddened by “Jerry’s” death…but didn’t notice that it was from 2017!

Jerry Lee was also cousin to Jimmy Swaggert & Mickey Gilley.
I remember Mickey Gilley once commented that Jimmy went to one extreme & Jerry Lee went to the other, lol.
