Day one 1/5
The cast ,Me, age 35 ,4th trip to WDW DH Ed ,39, 3rd trip to WDW
Bobby,USN 33, 2nd trip to WDW
he place..Port Orleans French Quarter
This was our adults only trip to WDW. We were armed with a new video camera and we videotaped EVERYTHING.

We had a 7 AM flight..My mother was coming over to stay with the kids so Ed and I slept on the couch. We didn't get much sleep and were up at 5 AM for the flight.. I was not tired, which surprised me. We had a bottle of champagne that we were going to take with us but we of course, forgot it.
We touched down in Orlando at 10.15 and got our very first ride in right there are the airport. I think that's where the dead monorails go to live.. I always know my Disney trip has started when I get in that shuttle thing.
The check in line for the ME was very long and it seemed like we walked forever to get to it. The line moved very fast though and everyone was pretty happy. We were on of the last ones getting on the ME and the bus left right away.. Of course everyone cheered when we saw the WDW sign.. I really don't think it ever gets old for me..
The ME made a qucik stop at Old Key West and then went straight on to POFQ.
CHeck in was quick and they had rooms ready for us. The room wasn't in the greatest location, building one and way out of the way. We could have asked for another one but really it was no big deal . I have stayed at Riverside and I must say,I like Riverside MUCH better. If I go back I will stay at POR instead.. Actually I like the grounds of POR more, but I like the room decor at POFQ more.
We quickly checked out the room and headed for EPCOT. WE got to the bus stop and waited while 2 busses for the AK busses came buy,One for MK,one for DTD and one more for MGM,before the EPCOT bus came..This would become a reoccuring theme on this trip.We ran into a family that thought they had a chip in their room key that let people know that they were coming so "they" could have their bus come last, then it was painfully decided that our chip overrode theirs when our bus came after the one they were waiting for.
Anyhow,it was sitting at this bus stop where I realized that Bobby was one of the converted..He is a man of few words, but at one point we joked about him coming by himself and said we figured he would be bored. He said," I could never be bored at WDW" So ,I think we've got another pne
We had ADR'S at LeCellier .ED had to go to the will call window to get his 10 day No exp pass..We had like 10 minutes until our ADR'S and I was afraid we wouldn't make it.. After 5 minutes,I finally decided to read the print out on the receipt and realized we could go to the ticket window and not Guest services.. After that,if you were at Epcot Thursday and around 11 and saw three blurs go past you, that was us hurrying to our ADR'S
We got to LeCellier 5 minutes late .Not bad. We waited about 15 minutes to get seated ,but got a very nice spot..Service was a bit slow at the begining, but not bad.
Of course Ed and I got the beer chesse soup to share and dipped the 3 breads into it.It was excellent,as I remembered it
Bobby ordered The grilled Salmon,I had the open faced steak sandwich and Ed had the prime rib French Dip
The salmon was great. I tasted Ed's french dip and it was yummy. My open faced steak sandwich was just OK. I'd give this meal a 7..My last meal there was a 10. Not bad but not the best meal ever
After this we decided to walk through the world Showcase so I could get my start on buying candy in every country.. I got a Coffe Crisp and a Maple Chocolate Bar in the Canadian Gift shop. We headed on over to the UK area..I just love this pavilian. It gets me all excited for my first trip to the UK later this year.. I was going to get candy here, but went to the bathroom and forgot.

At this juncture I (Ed) will take over to tell a smll story,Jen had to use the restroom,so there I stood across from the Rose and Crown in front of the restrooms next to a nice little fountain. A man standing across the fountain was looking at something in the fountain with obvious distaste(he looked like he had just tasted Beverly)so I looked down and saw a little boy of about six with with his sleeves pulled up and he was endeavoring to relieve the fountain of all it's change I looked around for his parents. Meanwhile another little boy joined him . I spotted his parents across the way. They were very busy with some other activity. Just then the two boys decided that they had enough change and headed back to their family The sounds of CLING,CLING, CLING rang out in the EPCOT air . The mother noticed that the boys arms were wet and asked them what they were doing in unison both replied "nothing"as the family started to move away there was a loud jingling(I could hear from it where I stood)and the mother halted the procession, she then frisked the boys, releaving them of their spoils and sent the oldest daughter to put it back(obviously the boys could not be trusted)this all happened during Jens rest stop(what a bladder my girl has).

..After that we headed for France. I got my usual cheese platter with Brie,Muenster and Gruyere cheese for just 6 $ These are good sized chunks of cheese and they lasted for days. WE did some window shopping. I got a glass of wine and Ed and Bobby got a beer. I think I could spend a fortune on Kitchen stuff in the Paris Pavilian.. We then slowly strolled through Japan Germany and Italy. Our plan was to window shop ,price things and then do some real shopping on Saturday.. Bobby and Ed being a manly men were looking at Swords and at Beer Steins in Germany..I of course was eyeing the chocolate(and bought way to much).
By the time we got to Italy the day was catching up with us. We decided to hop on the boat and head back to Future world. We did do a quick turn on Spaceship Earth, which I just love.
We had ADR"S at the Rose And Crown but weren't hungry enough
We went back to the room for a while and rested. Eventually we decided we wanted to go to Earl of Sandwich for a quick meal, and it was a nice time to take the boat over there. We really enjoyed Earl of Sandwich. I had cannonballs(meatball sub( and Ed and Bobby both had the Carribean Jerk Chicken.. Both said they were very good.
We went back to the room and watched what we had videotaped that day and went to sleep
Tomorrow, MGM and MK

Should I have? I didn't realize I needed too.

You don't have to cancel ADR's. Sure you can, but the system is set-up to take the next party. Someone walking in may have lucked out and gotten to eat there had it not been for that.

Sounds fantastic ~ Thanx for sharing.
