That's a good one! In one of the magazines over here, every week there is a double page with pictures of the stars at red carpet events, and someone comments on it. I have once seen a picture of the person who writes teh comments => OMG!!!!!! I guess she has never looked in the mirror!


BTW, I am female, and I find women with curves more beautiful than those skeletons that walk the runway.
Compare Kate Winslet in Titanic with pictures of Keira Knightley on the POTC-premiere.
Besides, quite some men have told me they prefer to hold some meat instead of bones...

Have any of you ever seen the TMZ show, especially the head guy? They show set-up shots for the stories while the so-called editorial staff are discussing items of the day. None of those people are terribly good-looking (though some of them certainly seem to *think* they are, the blonde long hair guy for instance) and I highly doubt that any of the women are size 0s, 2, or even a 6. And the head guy...blech.

I can't believe people (mainly on morning radio and talk radio) are SHOCKED that celebs have (oh my god, say it aint so!) cellulite!! I don't think there are many celebrities out there who are absolutely flawless. Airbrushing is an amazing thing, but it's not real.

I for one am happy that JLH is embracing her beauty as a real woman..not a barbie doll!

I have seen the photos that they are talking about. If they the pics were from the waist up I am sure no one would have said anything at all.
I think that if she had been wearing a bikini bottom that was tad more flattering to her shape, I think even less would have been said.
I will say as a guy, I dont like super skinny waif type girls. Girls that you are afraid you are going to break if you hug them hard.

There are pictures out there somewhere with Nicole Kidman and the worts kind of cellulite on her thighs...
Doesn't make her any uglier. That's how women are, we are not from plastic. Well, some of us are, but not all of us!
It's like guys having a (beer) belly. Not all of them have the "six pack".

The skinny look has never gone away.. Been like that for decades. It sells and that is what matter to movies, magazines, etc.

Not saying it is right.

But you have folks that buy the products these women pitch, or see the movies they are in, or buy the magazines they are featured in..

If we choose not to do that, maybe things would change? /shrug

Hewitt made millions off her looks.. more power to her. But she is not out there running a rally for plus size women.. She is trying to keep her money coming in

Wow, this proves it. Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. Both DH and I think she looks amazing and I'd love to have her figure.

Everyone can have a bad picture, depending on the angle, or wear something that doesn't fit right or flatter their figure. Doesn't mean their fat!

I did think that bathing suit wasn't the best choice because of the top; someone who is busty should wear straps!

One less than flattering picture is not going to ruin her career and it shouldn't. Models and actresses are airbrushed to look so good. I'll never forget Tyra banks saying, "don't try to look like Tyra... Tyra doesn't look like Tyra in the morning."

I don't think JLH is saying, "OMG a bad picture of me is on TMZ... I better get out there and save my career!" I think she meant what she said. I'd hate to see her turn into a "lollipop head" over this.

She has gained a little weight. I think the ugly press about this (which is mean) isn't so much about her size though, but her about fitness. She does look a bit out of shape for someone that has a contract doing underwear and bra ads.
