Me (Jen) 28, mad about WDW
Alex 25, anything for a quiet life
Tuesday 7th August
We slept like logs last night, I think all the walking round the parks knocks us unconscious at night! We got up at 6:45am, got dressed etc and had our usual breakfast at Pop.
After slapping on suntan lotion we went to the MK bus stop, it was EMH this morning and I was hoping that we would be there before 8am but we didnt get onto the bus until 7:55am. We arrived at MK just after 8am and went straight in, we took some photos of Main Street, which was pretty quiet, and some of the castle. You just cannot beat that first look you get each trip of the castle.
We usually go to Frontier land first of all but it wasnt open so instead we went to Tomorrow land, there was only a 5min wait for Stitch so that was our first ride. Now I so wish they had left this ride as the Alien one as Stitch is just nowhere near as good. When we were on it a few children completely freaked out.
After Stitch we walked round to Fantasyland taking photos on the way, Mickeys Philharmagic was our next stop and we walked straight onto it. I love, love, love this show and I dont think I could ever get bored of it.
We then hurried over to Frontier Land as it was 9:30am and had now been open for half an hour. It was very busy here, we got FP for BTMR and then decided to queue up for Splash Mountain, there was a huge queue for this but it moved really quickly and we were on within 15 mins. We had a great time on this and as usual I amazed myself with how loud I can scream.
We walked over to Adventure Land and queued for POTC, this had another big queue but gain it moved quickly and we were on in about 20 mins. I love the detail on this ride.
It was time for our FP now so we went back to BTMR and had a ride on this, I find this ride quite tame now which makes me think that maybe I am brave enough to ride Everest, after riding I promised Alex that when we went to AK I would ride it with him.
It was now about 11:30am and we were very hot, tired and hungry so we thought we would see if we could book a table at Crystal Palace for lunchtime. The lady who takes the reservations told us that she couldnt take any bookings but if we came back at 12pm she could probably seat us straight away as a walk in. So we went off to the shops along Main St and had a little look round, we went back to the CP at 12pm and sure enough were seated pretty quickly. It was absolutely packed in here and the queue for the food was HUGE, I went up first and Alex waited with the bags, when it was Alexs turn to go the queue had somehow disappeared! We both love the food here; its well worth the money plus Eyeore is my favourite character.
We left the CP at about 1:10 pm and wandered round the shops, we bought some stamps and sent postcards.
After a few more photos we headed back to Pop and got back about 2:30pm.
We were both tired so we had a little snooze and cooled down. At about 4pm we went down to the pool but after only half an hour there was a thunderstorm and we all had to get out of the pool.
We had a shower and then went off to the bus stop to get a bus to DTD, we had to wait for 50 mins before a bus finally came, this was the longest wait we had for a bus though, the rest of the time they came within 20 mins.
We went to the Earl of Sandwich for our dinner which as usual was delicious, Alex had the Full Montague and I had a turkey and cranberry one. The plan had been to go Ghirardellis for pudding but we were both too stuffed so we left that for another day.
We looked round the shops; I couldnt believe how much cheaper the scrap booking stuff was here compared to UK prices. Alex bought a really lovely sketch of the Lion King from Art of Disney.
We went to the bus stops at about 10pm and were back at Pop by 10:30pm where it was straight to bed!
