The popcorn is tasty, but it is LAYERED with salt. I watched them put it on a fresh batch twice in the last few visits, and they lay it on thick. I believe it is the old theory that salt makes you thirsty, so you will buy a drink.
I totally agree about the mixed drinks. We've been probably 10-12 times now, and I used to order mixed drinks. The tequilla sunrise, gin & tonic, and whatever else I ordered came in a small plastic cup that could not have held more than 5 ounces of anything. Figure in the ice, and it was maybe 3 small sips worth of a beverage. Seriously, it was like a small orange juice serving from the old Howard Johnson's breakfast days.
If you order the daily special, it comes in a huge cup, packed with ice, and is a 'better' value, but I have not seen more than 1 mixed drink on special any particular night (and it isn't always the most popular type of drinks either). It cost more (due to size), but seems to last much longer.
I am not a beer afficianado, but now I usually stick with a Corona, or a draft, when we go.
Glad to see I am not the only one with such opinions about the drinks!!
Lastly: Low Attendance??? Are you serious? Maybe before 10 p.m. on some nights (Sunday, Monday), but unless there is a hurricane or seriously bad weather in the forecast, that place has always been packed when we go.

Because they are a bar only, they do not serve food except for having a popcorn wagon with spicy popcorn available (their version of peanuts on the bar). Also, because no food is served, smoking is permitted inside the building.
