Jellyrolls meet Friday night!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came to the Jellyrolls meet on Friday night! I had a blast, and I was really overwhelmed by the turnout and meeting everyone! Everyone I met was super nice, and I can't wait to see the pictures when I get them developed tomorrow.

I have a list of who I think was there. It was so much fun meeting everyone, even though I was getting confused with meeting so many people in one night! I think we had about 30 or so people there.

A bunch of us wound up closing the place down that night. Before leaving, I stopped and thank Tommy Bell (the piano guy with the long time). He told me that our group was a lot of fun. When I went back to Jellyrolls for the last time on Monday night, I left a large tip on Tommy's piano to thank them for the week I had there, and he said, "It's the last person left from the Dis" from the stage as I was getting ready to walk out of the bar.

Thanks again, everyone! I had a blast meeting everyone!

Needless to say Karen, I had a blast (and paid the price dearly the next day). It was soooo wonderful to meet you and all of the other DIS'ers that I hadn't met yet. It was really a fabulous night.

Linda, you are a wild woman! You were quite the dancing fool! And when you tried to out bid the guy requesting Buffet, I was in hysterics! They're tip jar went up quite a bit on that one!

Thanks for posting that picture of Linda, Kathy! Yes, you were a little blurry that night, and you weren't alone. That was quite the night! I can't wait to see my pictures when I pick them up in about a half hour!

You know, I forgot to mention in my original post for those of you who weren't there or left early that I actually got up onstage that night (my first time on the Jellyrolls stage--can you believe it?). Anyways, they were looking for an impartial judge to judge a singing contest between the two halfs of the bar, so I volunteered. But I wasn't an impartial judge. Of course I favored the Dis side of the room I waved off the other side of the room when they finished singing, and tried to egg on our side of the room. I got booted from the stage by piano boy Drew.

It was a blast

Sorry I didn't say anything to you that night, Nancy! I was so overwhelmed by meeting everyone on Friday, that I wasn't positive if you were a Dis person or not. Believeit or not, I'm actually painfully shy, so I didn't want to say anything because I just wasn't sure. Next time I'll say something. I only wound up staying for about 90 minutes. I was sleepy that night.

It was great to meet you and Tim! You were a lot of fun! It was nice to sit with someone who loves Scotty and Ray as much as I do on Sunday I confused poor Scotty by moving from the standing in the back to sitting up front--he was walking around while Drew and Chris were on looking for me. Oops. Sorry Scotty!

I just got my pictures back, and have a great picture of me and Scotty! Thanks to Tim for taking it for me! It's now in a frame on my desk at work.

I look forward to seeing your pictures, Holly! Did anyone take a picture of me when I was onstage that night?

Just wanted to say Hi to everyone who was at Jellyrolls - what fun, huh? And Linda, great picture - exactly as I remembered you!!! Hopefully we can do it again at some point!

Apperantly that Sweet Caroline thing is very popular. A group sang those words every time the song was played at Jellyrolls while I was there.

I might not be going down next year in Dec. so someone else will have to organize the Jellyrolls meet in my honor. Of course I say that now, but who knows?

I was just glad so many of you came to Jellyrolls that night. It was so fun meeting everyone. I was just so awed and overwhelmed that night. I really adored everyone I met!

My day at Disney, I went to Nine Dragons for lunch, and when I cracked open my fortune cookie, this is what I read:

"You are open-minded and quick to make new friends."

And, I was sitting there in Nine Dragons, thinking about how many wonderful new friends I made during that trip. It was so much fun, and really an amazing trip. The people I work with are waiting for me to shut up about all of the great Dis people. They just don't get it.
