BF and I are planning on going to Jelly Rolls one night. I have a few questions:

#1 - is it awesome?
#2 - at what time does party start get really going when it's a weeknight?
#3 - Do people dress up a little or are people still in shorts and tank tops from being in the parks all day? Just wondering if we should go back to the room and clean up and look nice before going.

And one more question...any other "night life" places in Disney that anyone can recommend?

Thanks so much! I love this board :goodvibes

1- I'll let others tackle the "awesome-o-meter."

2- 9:30, or so. The later, the rowdier.

3- No need for dressing up at all.
It's a "dive" if there ever was one. ;)

1. I think it's awesome! :cool1: I love sing a long type things and pretty much everyone that works there are great performers!

2. It seems to really pick up after Illuminations ends. We usually get there a little before 9 so we can get a good table. It has filled up almost everytime I have been there - not crazy packed but full.

3. It's totally casual!

Other adult entertainment is hard to come by. There's Atlantic Dance Hall next to Jelly Rolls and (I think) Rix Cafe at Coronado Springs are the only places I know of on property that is just for adults.

Disney made a HUGE mistake in getting rid of the adult entertainment when they closed the clubs at Pleasure Island to make way for more family oriented stuff. Excuse me, isn't that what the rest of DW is for?? :confused3 Anyhoo..there is Raglan Road at DTD, they have a great bar and a live Irish band..

I went to Jellyrolls last trip and it was a fun night!

#1 - it was a good time!

#2 - I think we went on a Thursday; it picked up after 9pm-ish

#3 - nah, when I was there, a bunch of convention people in suits came in. I was wearing jeans, myself. I wasn't at a park all day, though. If you are, I would still go back to the room, if you are able.

There aren't too many nightlife places in Disney itself, but there are lounges in every mod/deluxe that you can hang out in and there is Doswtown Disney as well.

1- Definately Awesome!!! I go on vaca JUST to do Jellyrolls!
(really! No parks this next trip just Jellyrolls fun)

2- Weeknight - depends. Tuesdays are usually very busy by
9pm and may be hard to find a table. But some days I'll go
in at 8pm and half the floor is taken other nights it's not real
busy until 9pm or so. It depends on how many
bachelorette parties and weddings and conventions are around

3- You'll get both! We dress up most of the time,
but we've also gone straight from the parks without changing

It's a lot of fun! It's the last "child free" place in Disney
that I can think of. It's nice to be around adults and not
have to worry about proper child etiquette. The audience
decides on the night... if you put up Sinatra songs, it'll be slower...
If you put up Single Ladies then it's a bit more fun IMHO:goodvibes

The place is nice- the staff is friendly, the piano players are
extremely talented and the drinks are delicious!
Check it out and have fun!
(there's a link in my sig for info, pics and search Jellyrolls Disney on
youtube and you might get a better idea)

I'm not sure what Robo was calling a "dive"
but maybe I'm missing the joke because the
whole inside was redone, new floors, new sound, ac, etc.

#1 Depends on the crowd and how into it they are, I have never had a bad night but some a lot better than others, love the drink specials that's how I got my tag

#2 We usually aim for 9:30 ish to still get a good seat

#3 Up to you, there always seems to be a lot of convention goers from Swan/Dolphin etc and they tend to dress up but anything goes
