ETA: I should say, on most, if not all counts against them in the ENRON case. Hopefully, this will bring a little comfort to those that lost their jobs and money in this horrific scandal.

We just watched the verdict. I don't understand why they are "Not Guilty" on the insider trading charges.

But it's good to know that justice prevails.

Woo Hoo! Justice is served. I pray they end up in jail for a LONG time. They caused so much trouble and pain for everyone and they deserve this. I find it kind of humorous how they still think they are innocent -- but I read that sometimes people like that just convince themselves that they are truly innocent.

Wouldn't surprise me. He contributed a lot of money to bush. I just home that Kenny Boy gets place in maximum security and not on a vacation in Club Fed.

Well, these boys played the game very well and tossed lots of money into the mix on the Democrat's side too. They just wanted their backs covered no matter who was in office, so I don't see Bush offering up any pardons.

It makes me angry that their sentencing date isn't till Sept. Why so long? Will they flee? Lord knows, they certainly have the money to do so.

I'm curious as to how the judge will sentence them too. Will it be consecutive, or concurrent? My guess is concurrent, but I am hoping I'm wrong.

"Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid called on the White House to put aside the energy policies of a 2001 task force led by Vice President Dick Cheney. Reid said Lay took part in the secret task force, an accusation made for years by critics.

Lay's "conviction is cold comfort for the tens of millions of Americans hurt by Enron's illegal activities, but at least he will serve a just punishment for his crimes," Reid said.

"The American people are not so lucky. They are still unjustly imprisoned by the energy policies that the Bush administration let Ken Lay write," Reid said in a statement."
