Jeep wrangler with Alamo?

Hi, I see Alamo has a 4 door Jeep Wrangler-anyone have experience with renting this? Does the top come off, if you did rent one, what was your opinion on it? We're 3 adults.

Generally, you will not be taking the whole top off, there are two Freedom Panels above the front seats that come out, there are few twist latches that allow you to first remove the driver then the passenger. They may or may not have the storage bags, if not then play the first top exterior down, then the second top exterior side up - they will slide around less and are less likely to get dinged up - which you'd be responsible for.

Soft top rental Jeeps are very very rare.

We rented a newer Wrangler in Hawaii last year, took the tops off most every day... but pay attention to weather. I also own a Wrangler and usually go 120 days topless (all off)... love my Jeep.

Great thanks, we have 3 suitcases and maybe 2 or 3 carry on pieces, 3 adults. We'll all fit? Wasn't sure about room for the luggage, thanks again!

You should be totally fine, though tight in the back - it really depends how big suitcases are. We had no issues with our Wrangler rental and our 2 very large rolling suitcases and carry on items. The rear seats are a 60/40 split so if needed you can lower the smaller and easily get more storage space without encroaching on the passenger.

ok good to know, that 60/40 split is a big help! Might be a nice change from our boring mid size lol! In Feb. when we were down, Alamo rep said pick anything you want! Ended up with a new Nissan Frontier, my DH was in heaven, so much so he bought one this Spring, lol!
