Jedi training

We are arriving Saturday Dec 8 in the middle of the day (landing at 11, hoping to be in the parks by 2-3). We were going to do HS that day. I'm sure the sign ups for Jedi training will be full by then, but has anyone had experience getting in on the standby list? My kids have their heart set on doing this, so maybe I should switch HS to another day? Thanks!

Someone can correct me if i'm wrong but, when you're on the standby list, I think you actually have to be present at the Jedi Training when someone doesn't show up. I remember a few desperate parents standing around waiting to see if anyone from our session didn't show.

I agree that moving your HS day is probably best. Another benefit of this is you should have a better chance at a SDD FastPass if you do HS later in your trip.

Thanks, that's a good plan-- I know they will want to do the toy story rides so I will prob move HS to later in the week. Jeez, so much planning goes into this trip and these kids have no idea lol

If Jedi training is important to your kids I would switch your days to get to HS in the morning.
I say this because if you are near the training area and your kids are not included they would have to see the other padawans march by and chant even before the show ... which in my house would result in tears.

Great point, mine would burst into tears too. Yup I am switching it so the first day we will head to MK and then HS next day. Will plan to be there before opening so we can head to the sign up first thing. Thank you!
