Jedi Training strategy

We will be at Hollywood Studios the week after Thanksgiving and are trying to figure out the best strategy for Jedi Training. We'll be at the park by 8:20 or 8:30, whatever you guys recommend. I have 4 boys that will want to participate. Can we request a time, do they force us to sign up immediately when you arrive or can I let people sign up ahead of me until the time I want arrives (1:30 for example)? Also, does the child's actual parent have to be with them, or can an uncle sign them up? Lastly, would we have time to head over to TSMM without a crazy line after signing up (as long as we don't get the first show)?
Thanks!

1. 8:20. "Earlier" always beats "later."
2. Yes.
3. No.
4. Yes. (If they are signing only "in order," but that's rare.)
5. No.
6. Yes.
7. Yes, but "crazy" can be relative. TSM will be very busy.

Thanks!
What show would you suggest I try to get for optimal park touring?

Doesn't matter.
Plan your meals, plan your FP+, check other show schedules (HERE) then, pick a convenient time for JTA.

JTA as we know it is shutting down 10/4/2015. They are re-imagining it with star wars rebels characters and no firm re-open date as been mentioned. A member has a make a wish child with a wish trip scheduled who very much wanted to participate in JTA. They got this information from the make a wish foundation.

Hopefully it will be re-opened in time for you trip.

DOES THE CHILD HAVE TO BE PRESENT FOR SIGN UP????
