Jedi training - how does it work?

Thanks for the advice all. Much appreciated. M&G sounds like it could be a good alternative for my mini Anakin!

Awesome info everyone!! One more question, where do you go when it's your show time? Right to the stage area? Thanks!

Back to the Sounds Dangerous building. That's where the robes are distributed. The CMs will also ask if anyone needs to use the restroom etc.

The show for the kids starts at the sound studio/sounds dangerous. They do Star Wars/Disney trivia with them and get them ready then parade them to the stage calling out ahead of the line making the kids feel super special.

I really wouldn't count on this. We were surprised with a private M&G in 2011. It wasn't something that we asked for, and it was a total surprise. The CM signing the younglings up arranged it, and our daughter (who was participating in the show) had no idea what was going on. He was very cloak and dagger about it and told us just to hang back after the show, after everyone had left, and not to mention it to any other guests. Other than the M&Gs that they sometimes do for all the padawans when the show gets rained out, I've never seen anyone else taken in for an individual M&G.

I THINK they do it after each show or most shows but like we said its a very very limits the times (yes times) we've gotten into it. It was on the order of 5 families.

Its worth asking. But I would not promise any younglings anything until you were at ST being escorted.

I see the m&g happening after most shows. I've been on ST a lot.

You have to understand my youngling (age 4.5) has ridden st:TAC over 100 times.

He is known to some of the cast members that work the attraction.

A real ST fan, in our house Lego Star Wars video game is Lego Star Tours Game.

It really is a very uncommon occurrence. The only time the cast knows there is a definite pre-arranged M&G is when a Make a Wish Child is scheduled to be visiting DHS - the visits are set up weeks in advance.

Last month, when I watched a number of shows, there was only one Wish M&G scheduled after one show and no other meets took place after any other shows. M&Gs after shows extend the time the characters have to remain in costume which isn't advantageous on a hot, humid day.

ITA. Our M&G was a total Pixie Dust moment. If it was common, It would be something that more people post about on here, and Kenny the Pirate would mention the possibility on his site.

I know you're well-intended, jco_direwolf, but I really think you're mistaken on this one and I'd hate to see you get people's hopes up. Meeting with Darth Vader is not something that can be scheduled outside a MAW trip, and it's not something that can be counted on. There have even been reports on here of shows being rained out and even those kids not getting a M&G, so it can never be counted on.

I'm not surprised that its not on KTP site because its not open to everyone.

But I will say I've seen it happen in the queue to star tours more often than I would expect if its only for MaW children. And as I've said we've been invite to it, so maybe we got lucky.

My original advice stands "ask" if you can while the children are away/occupied so if its a "no/not happening" no one is upset.

My DS who was 6 on our last trip loved this - but cannot stress enough how important it is get there there for rope drop or as near as you can after that. think we arived rope drop and were given the 11.30 showing - my son loved it.

We saw a lot older kids crying either because of there was no slots left for the day or they just didn;t realise you had to sign up early.

My son is definiltey wanting to do this again in our trip in April.

Thank you, I will definitely plan on making rope drop on this day so we can get him signed up. We have an ADR at Hollywood and Vine at 12:35 then FP+ for TSM at 4:05, Disney Jr at 5:20 and Voyage of the Little Mermaid at 6:10, so I just hope we can fit it all in our schedule. :)
