Has anyone gotten breakfast ADR's at Hollywood Studios at 8am and was able to sign up for Jedi Training at 8am? I'm thinking about a super early ADR at Hollywood & Vine so we can get my son signed up for Jedi training and we can meet all the Dis Jr characters. Sounds like a perfect plan to me, but I'm wondering if anyone out there has done this?

They won't start the signups until the park opens. If the opening time is 9 you won't be able to sign up until 9. If it isn't a morning EMH I don't believe you would even have access to the signup area if it's prior to park opening. If the opening time is 8, you'd have to go straight to the signups with the child before you go to the breakfast.

Actually, recently, they've been signing people up from a line just over from the PPO ADR admission line, before rope drop. There's not a lot of benefit to the ADR if they keep this up, so I would ask how into an H&V breakfast you are conceptually.

Sign-up takes a bit, so you'd be very late for breakfast, possibly to the point of being charged a no-show.

they are signing people up just for jedi training academy before rope drop from outside the park?

We were hoping to do h and v breakfast ( 3 year old daughter) and son (8) and hubby leaving to sign up for Jedi training at 9. Presumably they still have sign up station at the normal place as well as outside. It would work well for us if so?

We actually just did this on Monday (3/21). A cast member was holding a sign for Jedi Sign ups at the front of the park (admission touch points). We had a H&V adr so we checked in through the adr cast member. We were about 15mins early for our reservation, so my husband walked over to sign my daughter up for Jedi training before we checked in at H&V. The line for sign ups were at the Adventure Outpost near Indiana Jones, and your child HAD to be present to sign up.
This was the process for us Monday, but as usual they could change tomorrow.

Yep, this. When we went on 3/10 they had CMs directing all ADR or JT groups to the left of the turnstiles - they let all ADRs in just before 8, then let all JT groups in (WITH your children - they have to be with you even at the gate now) shortly after 8. All were able to sign up for JT upon entry. Once signed up you could only roam the front part of Hollywood Boulevard. They held everyone just around Trolley Car Cafe until rope drop.

Actually, this is currently not the case :). You can sign up with a prepark opening ADR up to an hour before the park opens. It's been like this for a few months now, and we signed up at 8am before checking in for our breakfast on a 9am park open day in February. Many others were doing the same.

Following this thread for more real-life stories!

We have an 8 am ADR at H&V...JT is a must must for us. I assumed they'd let ADRs in at 745?? And I could scoot over to sign up the kids and then head to breakfast? I hope i'm not dreaming... lol

We were there on 4/6 at 8am for a 9am opening. There was a reservation line and a Jedi Training line. The Jedi Training line was let in at 8:20ish to sign up at the Indiana Jones outpost building. We were than held at Mins Dockside diner until the park opened, 8:50, and led over to Toy Story Mania and off that ride by 9:10. You could easily run a child over to Jedi Sign ups before or during your ADR depending on when the park opens.

I know this is an older thread, but it sounds like this is still the current procedure being used and that JTA sign-ups can be done prior to park opening with the 2 separate lines for PPO ADRs and JTA sign-ups. Does one need a PPO ADR in order to join the PPO JTA sign-up line?

I'm just trying to figure if we can sign up for JTA prior to park opening without having to do a PPO breakfast at H&V.

I recommend reading on the Theme Park Board for the Star Wars thread. They stopped doing PPO signups outside the gates. People with ADRs are signing up at the Outpost before their ADR, but people without early-park entry aren't getting signed up in advance and enter at RD to queue.
