We went to WDW a few years ago and my DS (then 6) did Jedi Training. It was after they opened more spots (May 2017) but at that time you still needed an ADR to have quick sign ups.

We did H&V at 8am and signed up before and it was painless.

Now both boys MIGHT want to do it. They will be 5 and 8. They don’t know we’re going yet and our ADR date isn’t Friday so I can’t ask lol.

Is getting a Ppo adr still the way to go? How long will we be in line if we don’t? It will be the first week of June and we want to do TSL (though we can do them different days). We also want a morning time, we will be leaving midday.

PPO or not? I’d rather not do H&V, but will if it’s the best way to get a good sign up with not a long wait wasting short line time.

Just go right at Park opening and you should be fine. I have never had trouble singing up. However twice I did end up waiting 45 minutes. Last August we went during EMH and waited 5 minutes

Went a few days ago, got there about 10 minutes before Park Opening, so we were there when they let everyone in, but we weren't at the very front of the crowd. We waited about 15 minutes to sign up and there were plenty of options available.

Jedi training is much easier since TSL opened. Just go first thing when you get to the park and you shouldn't have a problem.

We got super lucky the last time we went (June 2017). On our first day, we arrived in Disney around 10. We got to HS around 10:30. Both boys signed up as alternates at that time. We stopped by the training sign up on or way to the hotel around 3 just to check and they had two spots open for the very next Jedi training. It was awesome to get it done and not have to worry about it on our other HS morning.

from what I've been reading Jedi training is way easier with TSL open, as someone else mentioned above. that is where the RD crowd is going. You should get a morning (maybe late morning) slot easily if you are there at RD and people are reporting slots available throughout the day (later ones the later you arrive of course).
