Jedi Training Ages

im curious for those that have done or are planning on doing the Jedi Training, what age is your child/children?

My DD (11) did this last week. She had her hear set on it. She never wanted to do it on prior trips when she was 6 and 9 as she wasn’t into Star Wars then. Now she is obsessed with Star Wars.

She was so disappointed and very self conscious because she was by far the oldest. She wouldnt even battle because she felt too old.

I’m wondering if she just ended up with a younger group or if this is typical. I would say the average ages were between 5-8. Mostly boys.

So sorry your DD was disappointed & self conscious being one of the oldest to take part in JTA. I hope that the rest of the day went well & she took part in other Star Wars stuff (like the meet & greets and exploring Launch Bay).

My DD is also now 11 (also Star Wars obsessed :chewy: ) & has participated in JTA during several summer trips in the past years. Our experience - there was always a range of ages and a good mix of both boys & girls. Guess it just depends on the day/time slot.

I really think that 5 - 8 is the real sweet spot in age for JTA. Of course with any group you will see younger and older, but not as many. My son first did it at age 7 and when I asked the next year if he wanted to do it again, he chose not to. At 9 we did the Star Wars Guided Tour and it was included and that's really the only reason he did it again. He was definitely one of the oldest in that group. He still enjoyed it, but it's not something he's asking to do anymore.

Thank you! Yes, it is unpredictable on the mix of kids. Al was not lost as we did the Star Wars Dessert Party that evening. It was my DD’s favorite event of our trip. She got to meet many of the characters and was in awe of the show and fireworks. Yay!
