Jedi Training Academy ~ Experiences Please

I am super stoked about this. I plan on telling my DD9 who is a HUGE SW fan about it tonight. I can see us doing multiple attempts until she is chosen. :-D

Thank you guys so much for posting about this! We are going back to WDW in March and we are all huge Star Wars fans. I had no idea about the build your own light saber, which my boys are going to freak out about, not to mention the Jedi training! We are not telling them about the trip until 10pm the night we leave, right before jumping in the car. I am also not telling them about building the light saber, i want them to see it at the store first. I am so excited about this trip! My little one is 2 1/2 and will be so upset that he wont be able to have a chance to train and go up against Darth. He would give Darth a workout!

Sorry, I forgot to ask, could anyone let me know what size batteries the build your own lightsabers take? I assume it would be the same as the ones we have at home, but just wondering ahead of time what size so I could bring them with us. TIA!

The lightsabers actually come with batteries and the special star wars trading pin (which I wouldn't trade btw, they are not available for sale, only when building a light saber and are huge and awesome!)

The CM's put the batteries in when you check out. Then ask you which pin you want and it's all $19.95:cool1:

I think they take 2 C's, possible D's, not sure, that is what my son says. Probably C's.

Thanks so much for the response! And WOW, the batteries come with it. How great is that?

My son loves Darth Maul. I wish they had him at WDW!

I had heard about the signs. I know some people do that at WDW too although I didn't see any the particular day we were there.

Here is my DS vs. Maul at DL

And here is a close-up of Darth Maul. He went around to the audience and stared them down like that.

Great pictures:)

Wow, that's amazing make up! That is so cool. My son would much rather have battled Darth Maul anyday! I wish they had him at WDW too!

I bet he scared a few kids staring them down like that huh?

Don't know if DD6 :ewok: would want to participate in the Jedi Training or not, but we would definately love to at least watch a show! :darth:

Thanks for all the tips and pics - they are all great! :hippie:

Wow, my sons are going to love the jedi training. They will be 9 and 8 when we go. I don't know what I'll do if one gets picked and the other one doesn't. We will def. make sure we go to everyone that day until they both get to. I read on here that they have it all the time now. We are going in June so they will be having star wars wknd. Do you think it would be better odds of being picked, less people, if we go during the week for this instead of the weekend?
