Jedi Academy- need the scoop ASAP!

Does anyone know if they use memory maker photographers for the kids on stage ?

Yes. Parents are asked to identify themselves and are given a Photopass card with a redemption code on it to enter into the Photopass site to claim the photos. The photos can also be linked to your Memory Maker account at any photo desk.

I was more worried about getting cursed out or thrown to the back of the line by the people coming from rope drop.

You're going to be so far ahead of the RD people, they won't even know you've been there. :lmao: On our last trip in December, we had an 8:00 H&V ADR and were literally the first people to sign up for JTA. We were out of the building and on our way to TSM before the RD crowd arrived.

We have 8am at H&V too. Hoping to get the kiddo in JTA also!

one word of caution about this. we did H&V at 8:05 (park open at 9). i happened to look outside while we were eating, around 8:50, and saw some people wandering by. went outside, and they had apparently started letting people trickle in to the park early (for JTA?). we hustled around the corner and were about 15th in line. got the time we wanted no problem with maybe a 5-10 minute wait. but by 9:00 the line was out the door of the signup room and starting to wind around. i'm guessing about 70 people-ish. so be alert.

DHS almost always opens early (usually by 8:45). So, we always wrap up breakfast by 8:40 and wait outside. When the background music changes, that means they've started letting people into the park and they'll release to into the park.

In the ABC/Sounds Dangerous Building. It's located between the huge American Idol screen and the JTA stage. If you reach the restrooms, you will have gone too far.

Where is the sign up for JTA?

when you are coming in, walk up the main street, then turn left toward hollywood and vine. follow the road around behind gertie the big dinosaur in the lake, and you will see a person with a lightsaber straight ahead. go in that building. the american idol signs and whatnot are coming down. the big sign you'll see on the marquee currently is for a preview of the live action cinderella movie.

For those that don't know "Hollywood and Vine" is a restaurant and not an intersection, it would be confusing. The large screen will probably always be a landmark that is easily seen.

There was a post on another thread about them testing Jedi training sign ups outside the park at 0800. Just what I need. A curve ball right before the trip.

Yes, I posted that thread. I'm sorry that I don't have any solid information on that which is why I turned to the DIS. I am on a Facebook Disney group, and one of the members posted that the sign up was outside the entrance to DHS yesterday. She was there at 8:00, and able to sign up before entering the park. I guess that I would try to be there by 7:40 in case you are able to sign up outside the park, and then just possibly be a few minutes late for your ADR.

It is very frustrating to think you have everything so well planned out only to be thrown a curve ball at the last minute. Hopefully there will be some better information on this soon.
