Day 2, Sunday, Sept 26
She's here! Hurricane Jeanne arrived somewhere around 3 am or so. We got up around 9, and pretty much sat around the room and watched TV all day. We slept off and on, and Isaac slept most of the day, which helped, but there wasn't much else to do. We played cards when we felt like it. We never lost power or water, that was good. For lunch, we had tuna and crackers that we brought from home, pudding cups, muffins, etc. Around 5 or so, it had let up enough that I could get down to the main building and check out and back in for our package. Man, that was a long line! I waited about 35-40 minutes at least, but it wasn't terrible. Since the food court was open again, we walked down for dinner. That place was so packed, so we got a pizza, filled our mugs, and took it back to our room. The storm itself wasn't like I'd thought it would be. We couldn't hear it too much in our room, of course the winds blew and blew, and occasionally we'd hear it gust up, and it rained and rained, but it was ok.
I think Disney did a good job during the hurricane. Obviously there was no mousekeeping that day, but we did ask for and get extra towels at the front desk. They had three channels of movies playing all day long, that helped. We were very fortunate, we weren't worried about our safety. My heart goes out to all those in FL and the south who have faced these awful storms in their homes, I can't imagine how terrible that must be.
Tomorrow: MGM and Fantasmic!
