Saw this last week. Plastic top, but look half way made. I know there are a number of folks who make their own, but for all others. ALso there is alot of other good stuff there. Got to thank the wife for dragging my but in for fam pics!!!!!!

I agree...if it wasnt for the Santa hat, it would be great!

I would guess that the "some assembly required" part means you could leave the hat off. Then put on hats from all the other hollidays. I wonder if santa would bring this for me?

Whats wrong with christmas all year...? I could handle that. I love all the lights .

Just back from Penneys. Bad news, the hat is the upper part of the head and not detachable without Mickey looking like he had been in a terrible accident. The lamp doesnt look to bad though. But I think I still like the homemade ones better.
