JC Pennies has some formals on sale.

Hi, just got back from the mall. Our JC Pennies had two full racks of formals on sale for 11.88. Some are left over prom dresses. I bought my dd a prom dress to use on formal night, it was 150.00 for 11.88. I also bought a very nice plane long black dress for me for 11.88. What a deal if your looking for formals. Marshall fields also had some good deals but not as good as Pennies.

Thanks for the tip. I found a nice dress for me to wear to an upcoming wedding for $14.88 and had some choices that I would consider for a cruise . . .not a 100% sure what I'm looking for but at that price I suppose I could buy a couple and still save over what the "regular" price will be next year.

JC Butterfly, I'm so glad you found something. My DD's dress is a pretty black skirt and a pink top that ties down the back. It is really pretty. I just love looking for bargain's. Our store took even more off the 14.88 price. Wonder why yours didn't?

Just thought I would throw this out as well... I have always had great luck going to a bridal store, (like David's Bridal), to buy dresses for dressy events...they always have discontinued bridesmaids dresses and floor samples to get rid of...

Sometimes I keep them long, but often, I buy them with the intention of shortening them...I have gotten really great deals by doing this...paying anywhere from $20-$50 for really beautiful gowns...
