Anyone know what the cost of the JC Penney portrait membership is? Their website doesn't say, we have to go in person to the store to sign up.

I've had photos taken there before and love the quality/service, and now that we have a baby we'll be doing a lot more photo shoots so depending on the price, it may be worth it. We'll be doing family photos in a few weeks and the sitting fees alone would be $40, and the membership waives all sitting fees.

I think it is around $30-$40 and that is for 2 yrs I believe.

One thing they just started doing about a year ago is the archival service. I don't remember how much it was, but they saved all the pictures you took there. SO, if you have a baby and wanted 1 picture with a years worth of pictures on it, you could do it now. (They had a neat one where you put each month in....SO cute!) (Before they could only do that photo sitting). It wasn't very much - $10 or $20 - and I think it was for a couple of years.

They always have coupons on their website that waive the sitting fee (which I thought was only like $9.99). I know right now they have a promo going on for 6 sheets of pictures for $20 and a free sitting (no fees).

Thanks, every one! Their sitting fees are per person, when we go in a few weeks we are not only having pix of baby taken, but me and DH, plus a shot with MIL too, so that would be 4 $10 sitting fees (or 3 if we had a coupon). Sounds like we'll break even on the membership cost on the 1st visit.
