Jazz Kitchen Brunch Reviews?

Apologies if there is another thread for this - I tried searching the forums and did not see anything.

We have an ADR for the Jazz Kitchen Sunday brunch for myself, DH and DD4. From reading it sounds like fun - magicians doing card tricks at the table and so forth. Has anyone been there for brunch? I often see Jazz Kitchen mentioned as a great place for dinner due to the food & band but I've read nothing about the brunch.

My family traditionally has Sunday Brunch at Brennan's Jazz Kitchen whenever we're at DLR. You can find the review from May here:

In terms of the magician, I think I've seen him/her once in the main dining room, but I don't recall seeing him/her everytime. We often ask to eat outside (it's a little quieter than in the main room where the music is being played), and I haven't seen the magician out there.

I've been to the Sunday Brunch at the Jazz Kitchen and really enjoy it. The menu is a combination of brunch specialties and their regular menu which makes it perfect because my family members like the regular entrees and I prefer the brunch choices. My favorite is the Crab Cakes and Eggs (eggs benedict), but I've also had the Pork Debris (quite good), Bananas Foster French Toast (very sweet and filling) and the Chicken and Waffle (a different take on the entree). For kids there's a breakfast buffet that is very popular.

If you're seated inside there is live jazz music, but the sidewalk and upstairs patios provide plenty of people watching opportunities.

thanks all! (and I love the Figment pix - I have a Figment action figure I bought at Epcot in '91. My daughter loves it .

We'll plan on sitting inside then - DH is always worried about people smoking outside so we tend to seat indoors when possible. (he's super sensitive to smoke and his eyes close up).

No one will be smoking outside--this is CA after all. I also love the brunch at Ralph Brennan's, and can't decide whether I prefer inside or outside seating. The bands really are quite good, but quite LOUD which makes conversation difficult. But whether for brunch or dinner, this is one of our favorite, consistently great restaurants in DtD.

The banana foster French toast is one of my favorite breakfast items in the resort!

mmm that sounds good- DH and I can't eat gluten (although sometimes we play Russian Roulette by taking gluten ease 2x enzymes) - we've never had to take enzymes at Disney resorts as they offer so much gluten free stuff but we may need to pull the trigger for bananas foster french toast!

thanks for the tips on smoking and the noise. I live in NorCal and most restaurants with outdoor seating are in venues which allow smoking "within 20 feet of the door" which always means 2nd hand smoke wafts over. Hopefully DTD is more restrictive. I think DD4 will appreciate a less noisy location so we'll try for outdoor seating. It's been only recent that she's OK going to public restrooms after an incident when she was 2 w/ one of those loud airport hand dryers. She's still pretty sensitive to noises.

I would recommend sitting inside because smoking is allowed in the outdoor areas of DTD and you'll see ashtrays built into the tops of some of the trash cans. We were going to sit outside one time, but the wind was blowing towards the Jazz Kitchen and we could clearly smell smoke and could see the person smoking across the way. We ended up sitting inside.

I can't wait to try the jazz kitchen. We do enjoy DTD, like the vibe and enjoy the food. Thanks for the recommendation. Last time we were there, there was a festival going on, Irish Festival I believe and it was very crowded but went to dinner early (5:00) and had no problem being seated right away.
