Congrats on your trip!

Thank you ! They are very close to each other and pretty much inseparable. I love seeing them interact with each other and the bond they have.

They're both very excited about our trip !

love the Christmas pictures.

Thank you Chiara !

I think I am all caught up. Congrats on having dates!! An extension at All Star Movies will be so much fun too! We've stayed there a few times and our 7 year old enjoys it.

Great pictures of the boys at Christmas.

I'm still debating Pop or Movies .. or maybe (a BIG maybe) CBR .. I'm just waiting for the dates to be confirmed before I make a final decision .. but I agree that the boys will LOVE Movies.
My oldest son has only stayed at Music when he was the boys age .. 12 years ago and he's looking forward to staying in WDW.

Either is a great choice! THe POP is newer and also really big and bright and fun. I love the pools there too! The main one has sprinklers that squirt into the pool. I think I liked the foodcourt at the POP a bit better. Its all good though!!!!:goodvibes

Ugh decisions, decisions !! Isn't Pop closer to the parks compared to the All Stars ? I'm not sure if we'll still have the rental car or not .. I'm not really sure how that all works with MAW. But wouldn't mind hanging on to it since the buses are a source of anxiety for Jayden.

Pop is our favorite value resort and Coronado Springs is our favorite moderate resort.

The values don't have refrigerators, but they will be getting beverage coolers in the near future. CSR, POFQ, and many of the rooms at POR now have queen size beds!! You can also get a microwave at CSR which has come in handy for us!

We stayed at CBR three times. It's our least favorite mod. I know there are many people who love this resort, it's just not for us.

POP is more centrally located than the All Stars. The All stars are closer to BB and AK. POP is close to DTD, MK and Epcot. As of now, there is no sharing of buses at POP, there is at All Stars. Possibly there could be sharing once Art of Animation opens. We rarely use the buses. It's a source of anxiety for our 7 year old too, very loud at times too.

We loved the All Star Movies! It IS a bit farther away than Pop, and like the others said, you share a bus with the other AS resorts, so if that's a concern, I'd go with another resort. But, my kids really liked the theme of the Movies :)

I think if we ever went value, we'd go All-Star Movies. Although, we once did a drive-by at Pop, and it looked really neat!! We definitely will try AoA once it opens, though, at least for a split stay. I think the Pirate Rooms at CBR would be really cool for the boys!! I'd like to try a mod at least once, but I'm dying to try the Royal Guest Rooms once they're done at POR.

So...I was probably no help to you at all. Haha!!!

Somehow Jess .. I can't see you staying at a value OR a mod ! :lmao:
Heck I would do AKL or Poly if I could and I wouldn't look back ! :goodvibes

I've seen so many awesome pics of the Poly and POR .. I'm really having a hard time not looking into those as well .. deciding a resort has never been SO difficult !

Which ever resort you pick, it will be perfect! The Disney magic is freeflowing, so try not to get too hung up on the resort! :goodvibes: Do you know how long you are going to extend for? I *think* we are going to extend also, but I can't decide how long. My wonderful husband keeps thinking a week is plenty (therefore, we don't need to extend)...and I keep trying to convince him that's soooo not true! :lmao:

I think that by extending your trip and stretching the passes where you can, it gives you more of a chance to enjoy GKTW - its really a neat place! If your kids like the water, they will love the pools and splash area. Plus all kinds of parties, mini golf, fishing, train, horseback riding, movie theater, carousel, tatoos at the "beauty palor", making pillows, the train display, mini arcade.....so much to do so little time!!!! Your MAW button (and ability to bypass most lines) will be over, but, I've heard of a few people getting pixie dust and having them extended when they were getting their stroller as wheelchair pass extended????? From what I remember from my nephew's trip was that they got a 3 day pass to WDW, 2 days at US and maybe 1 day to SW??? But, there are some other places like Bush gardens, a petting zoo and a few more that you can find out about that you can get passes to too - but those you can only do while staying at GKTW. I think your standard passes would still be good once you left GKTW, just the magic button might not work anymore......

The busses can be really busy. If you can swing it, keeping the car might be a nice option -if you could get your rental car info from MAW, maybe you can call the rental car place and see how much it would be to extend - maybe they'd give you a special discount code or something????

At the POP, there are lots of the big statues too, like ASM. They are both fun!!!:wizard:

Well the MAW portion is from April 4th -10th which is a Tuesday .. the weekend (7th-8th) is Easter Weekend .. then the kids are on Spring break the week after that .. so I decided to stay until the 15th which is the following Sunday. So we'll be staying 5 days extra. I just really wanted to not have to stress about time and not being able to have time to do and see everything as well as have some "down" time. So, I feel good knowing me have those extra days .. they'll be just Disney days.

Yeah, we're getting 3 days Disney, 2 days US and 1 day Sea World. Which really only gives us 2 days in Disney if we use both US days (which I plan on since his BIG wish is to see Harry Potter World) and I think they'll enjoy Sea World as well ... so we'll have 4 extra days to do JUST Disney at the end of our stay. Jayden qualifies for a GAC card without MAW because of his illness so I'm not too worried about that ..but I would LOVE to keep the car until Sunday .. I'm going to try really hard to be able to do that.
I really DO want to be able to enjoy GKTW and the parties and such .. plus they LOVE the water and I want them to be able to that as well.

Michelle I didn't realize we are going to be in FL at the same time. We are going from the 6th to 12th.

I hope you can keep the car. I know my J actually likes the buses and the bus ride so we are lucky in that aspect.

:rotfl: You know me too well!!! I really do want to try some of the Storybook Rooms, though. That's what I always thought Disney rooms were like in my head when I was little.

We should just split a suite in December!! ;)

i am so excited for you!!! So happy Christmas was wonderful! What did they get?!?

Also you have great people here helping you along the way for the trip!!
This is the PTR i look forward to the most!! :cool1:

Maybe we'll run into each other !!

Jayden doesn't mind the buses .. it's the waiting in lines for the buses that makes him stress. I'm going to really try to keep the car. :thumbsup2

That would be so cool Jess !! Tabe and the boys would have a blast. :dance3:
Yeah I sort of spit my tea out when you said you might be willing to try a value ! :rotfl:

They got the "usual" stuff .. but their big gifts were an iPad and a laptop (which I stole since mine died :rolleyes1) plus Legos and a lot of games they can play together.

I do have tons of great folks here helping me along the way .. we are all very excited and reading others reports and hearing their experiences is really helping a lot as well. I feel like I won't be so overwhelmed once we are actually there.
I'll be sure to update as much as possible !
