I want to go on the jaws ride but my son is not to keen on it. Is there one side better than the other that you won't get as scared. I went on a long time ago but don't remember if it jumps out on both sides. I want to position my son in the best place not to be scared.

Five or six people set in a row...just put him in the middle. That way there will be a couple of people between him and the shark on either side.

He also looks very plastic and artificial unless you're 'in the moment' which is quite likely! best tip I can think of is to reassure your child that no shark is going to appear in the boatshed, no matter what it sounds like! That was the bit that made our daughter terrified - from then on she'd lost the plot!!

We rode several times last week....once the shark did not appear in the boat shed, but the all the other times he did. He comes through on the right hand side.

..oh no! that's a new one for us! Perhaps I just won't tell my daughter or there's NO way we'll get to ride!

Have ridden this more than once and won't be doin it again....pathetic and hot and uncomfortable too when the fire starts, give it a miss.

The fire is the best part (well... second best after the smell in the boat house), I love feeling the heat.
