Japan dining

Can someone tell me what is open in Japan restaurant-wise? I read somewhere the restaurants are closed for rehab. I searched forum did not find my answer. We will be at WDW May 13-20

I know the Teppan Edo (which, i think used to be the Teppanaki -the japanese hibachi grill) is open, because we have ADRs for that same week!

Thanks. I had read in an older guide book about a peaceful lounge in the pavillion, but it may be out of business

Tokyo Dining is also open and serves Sushi and Tempura. EXCELLENT!

I think the refurbs at Japan are complete and the restaurants are back open for business under new names. The new restaurants are Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining. The space that had been used for the lounge is now part of Tokyo Dining.

Exactly right...we were there in Feb. and all was open. Be aware Tokyo Dining is very noisy as it no longer has a separate entrance like the old lounge did. Everyone checking in for both restaurants comes to the reception booth which sits in the open at Tokyo Dining and the waiting area for everyone is open to this restaurant as well...you can stand here and watch people eat. We at at Teppan Edo, great, and besides a few changes the same as the old Teppenaki.
