Is it too cold in January to swim at the resort pool? Thinking of Beach Club.....

Hi Traci,

There's no way of knowing until you go. The pools are heated but January weather is completely unpredictable. You could have days in the 80s with cool mornings, or you could have mornings near freezing with afternoons struggling to get out of the 40s.

if you get a day warm enough to swim take it! it might be your only one. in 9 days at wdw we had i day of rain, 1 day and 2 nights of really cold windy 50 down to 40 temps. and the rest up to the 75-80 range but the week before we were in vero beach and it was 90s. pack for and plan for anything (trip was from Jan 4-19)

It was in the 60's to the 40's (daytime highs) when we were there this past Jan., so no, we did not swim. :earseek:

Our experience is that when you are in the water its fine, but out of the water is cooool. I see you have little ones, maybe swim and then make a mad dash for the heated room!! We've even stayed in the pools longer 'cause we dreaded the air hitting us. It makes for fun shrieks and giggles though!!

As for the water parks, we did it once and won't again. You just don't get the full enjoyment of the water park with the cooler weather and wind.
