January weather ??

Hi,

For our 15th anniversary, my DH and I (plus DD then 5 and 8) are thinking of celebrating with a Disney Cruise. We thought about the 4 night sea only since we want to add on more than 3 nights at the parks. Does anyone know if the temps on the cruise and Nassau, Freeport, CC will be warm enough in January to make it worth while (I know if will be fun, but my kids LOVE the water) or would we be better off going another time of year? We thought about the 7 day Eastern cruise, but since it's the first cruise for everyone thought we'd stick to 4 nights.

We went this past January during that freaky cold spell! We could still swim at CC but apparently the people just before us did not even get off the ship because it was so cold!

There is no guarantee on weather but there is plenty to do elsewhere if it does not cooperate!

It has not discouraged us, we're going back for a 7-day Eastern this time!LOL

The weather in the Caribbean is less apt to be cold than here in South Florida...we went on 3 day last january, and the weather was magnificent.....no rain whatsoever, and temps in high 70's

January is a great month to cruise for weather....

I honestly would never cruise in Jan again....I like nice warm weather when I cruise and it can be downright chilly in Jan and I would hate to spend my hard earned cruise dollars on a chjilly cruise I wouldn't enjoy.

we've done 2 of our 3 DCL cruises in Jan...the weather can be 'hit and miss' - from wonderful and sunny...to wind and sideways rain fall. Personally, I won't go in Jan again...we missed CC on both of our Jan cruises. As wonderful as the cruise was...missing the island was a downer on our trip.
