Hey guys,

So we are a little nervous about the weather in the upcoming week.

We leave on the 3rd and are staying until the 10th.

During half of our stay there are lows of 31 - almost breaking the record for the coldest day in Orlando this day in history!

We don't have a park hopper pass so we can't go back to the room to get coats. Should be use lockers? I have never used them before so I don't know how big they are but would a large locker be enough for 4 winter coats so that we could go back and get them when it got cold?

Let me know!

Thanks!

You can go back to the room to get your coat and return to the same park without the hopper feature. But you'll spend valuable park time doing it. Instead, bring your coats with you and use the lockers.

We have done 5 January trips. Do not panic about the forecast yet, because the forecast for Orlando in Jan. changes very quickly. What they predict now may likely not be the weather you get.

Then again, you can be pretty sure that you will have at least some very cold weather, so you are wise to prepare for it. Early mornings will likely be very cold, so you will probably start out with your coats, etc. I would take gloves/mittens, too. We don't do heavy winter coats as much as layers. On days that are supposed to stay cool (check weather that morning, predictions may have changed overnight) we wear lomg pants, long sleeve shirts, fleece jacket or pullover, maybe gloves. If the day is predicted to turn warmer, we do shorts or capris, tshirt, and jacket or sweater over it.

Typically, within the same week, you can have mitten weather and balmy swimming weather!

You can always leave and return to the same park later without hoppers, but I agree with OKW and wouldn't do that just for coats. A locker is much easier.

Have fun!

As mentioned, you can leave the park and come back to the same park without the park hopping feature. I would just stash coats in a locker, though, or tie them around my waist. That's just me. Who cares if I look dorky? It's Disney World!
