Call us crazy, but we have already started planning our next trip before we even get to go on our first trip!

We bought AP's for our trip in Aug. and are planning to return with my In-laws Jan. 2nd thru 10th-ish. We have the Courtyard by Marriott 20.03 rate for Aug and am hoping that a similiar rate will be available for our next trip.

Has anyone gone at this time? What kind of rates can we expect. Mom and Dad have a package and are staying on site, but if I can save some money, maybe we can squeeze one more trip in before the AP's expire. (is this sick or what?)

I go that time of year every year for my son's birthday which is January 5th. He's always off from school that time, also.

The time after the High season is very affordable and the crowds are light. That date changes every year though, I think for 2004 it's January 4th.

The weather can be unpredictable. I've seen temperatures from 40 to 80 degrees! Make sure you bring layers!

And don't feel bad, we start planning our next trip WHILE ON our trip! :teeth:

We have been going to WDW for New Years Eve and staying till Janaury 10th each year. When we cannot get into a reasonable disney hotel we stay off property at the Marriott Village at Little lake Bryan. Hotels only 2 yrs old. They have a Fairfield, Courtyard and Springhills suites. I usually pay arount $69 for Courtyard or $59 for Fairfield. They all have free continental breakfast (clean) and the Fairfield King rooms have a fridge but the Courtyard has an indoor pool. Keep in mind January can be tricky. One year we nearly a froze and had to buy new clothes. Now we travel with both winter clothes. Also keep in mind that if you haver an annual pass they have passholder rooms in January after the holiday peak time that are usually $69-79 for the moderate hotels and sometimes as good as $139-169 for the better resorts. Keep calling CRO and ask if the AP rates have been released. I would not worry about not getting a room it is not that busy. So you can always book a hotel somewhere else off property and try to get something on property later on. I have done this quite often myself. Good luck and enjoy!
