He is running the 5K (His first race!) and we were eyeing those Disney Run clothes. Think I need to order him the long sleeve or short sleeve shirt? Really, I'm clueless cause I don't run! :confused3

The problem with January in Florida is you never know what you are going to get. This year it was 70 a couple of days before the race & by race morning we were freezing & pulling out our winter running clothes& I started the race with 2 pr pants, gloves, jacket, etc. I was planning on wearing shorts & short sleeve shirt. You will need to bring clothes for all situations. I think the year before it was really hot. Sorry I couldnt be more help.

In 2005, the temperature was around 50 degrees around the start of the marathon/half marathon but warmed up quickly to 70-80. In 2006, the temperature was close to 33 degrees at the start of the marathon/half marathon and probably close to 60 at the start of the 5k (~11:00AM). Because each year can vary widely we bring cloths that can cover the wide temperature range.

Usually I will wear shorts and a short sleeve shirt since I will get warm running no matter how cold it gets. I feel better afterwards without running in long pants or long sleeves.
