January Free Dining?

We have recently decided to visit WDW in January 2015 after an outstanding trip in October 2012. We're contemplating renting DVC points for another stay at BLT.

I went on the Mouse Savers site to check historical discounts and noticed there was FD offered in 2011 and 2012 but not this year (we're hoping to arrive for the last week of Jan). Can anyone offer insight? I ask b/c FD saved us about $1300 last year but renting points (vs a cash ressie) is only a savings of $600. But having to book 11 months out and paying in full...well, you can see our dilemma!

I think it is a little early yet to get any ideas for Jan. 2015. It would even be questionable for Jan 2014. Hang tight and keep checking back.

Unfortunately, you're caught between a rock and a hard place. I haven't seen public special offers announced 11 months in advance so if you have to book DVC in March, you won't know what specials Disney will offer for the following January.

I am guessing that the economy improved and advanced bookings were up enough that Disney didn't feel the need to offer FD this past January and instead had a different offer.
