Is January a busy DVC time at WDW? I just called last week for availability the 2nd week in January for a studio at any DVC resort. MS said that there is no availability anywhere. Really--even OKW & SSR? :confused3

Are you trying to go during the Marathon weekend? Did you go on a waitlist? It's only 2 months out, so that could be the problem.

Good luck!:wizard:

Jan 1 to about Jan 4 (which is still holiday time) is very high DVC demand time. Then there is high demand Marathon weekend (2d weekend in Jan) and time several days around Martin Luther King day. Rest of the month is moderate DVC demand time and usually fairly easy to get at 7 months. However, you are at about two months out. Regardless for how high demand is, you face a risk at two months out finding nothing year round.

We are waitlisted. I might try calling to do the day by day thing & see what happens. I knew 2 months out was risky, but we've gone in the summer before with short notice so I was surprised that January was booked. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that something comes through!

Maybe someone can help me. Can I have more than one waitlist at a time? We are waitlisted for one resort, but I didn't know if I could list two different resorts. Since we were so close to January, we weren't picky about resort choice.

Yes, you can have 2 waitlists for the same time. If I were you, I'd waitlist SSR and OKW, since those are large resorts and I'd think you have a better chance of getting one of those vs one of the smaller resorts. Good luck!

We booked an OKW one bedroom in September for the Marathon when my husband decided he wanted to run. We only have three nights - Fri, Sat and Sun. We had a choice of OKW or SSR. We took OKW so the guys can walk to the start.

But we've also been waitlisted at BLT for a one bedroom since then and still nothing. Riding the monorail to the start is almost as good.
