January crowds vs March crowds

Debating a trip right after NYE (around 1/2-1/6) or in early March (around 3/7-3/12). Looking for pleasant weather, but also really worried about crowds. I know it’s unpredictable and there really isn’t a quiet time of year anymore, but what is everyone’s experience with crowds at these two times of year?
TIA

Your March dates are before the Orlando area schools spring break so the crowds shouldn’t be too bad. We stayed on site the week before their spring break last year and the crowds were more than manageable.

Thanks for the info. I forgot to check for local spring breaks. In general would be the March crowds be lower than January?

I would post this question on the Theme Park Forum since it is not Resort related

March is college break season for colleges--different schools have different breaks. January would have lower crowds IF it isn't over the RunDisney weekend.

I've been once in January and multiple times in March - no question that the January trip was much MUCH less crowded!

Both of those times are rather busy, but lately early January has been worse. VERY busy the first week or so after NY. Also, it's more iffy for weather. I would go in March given those 2 options. Flower and Garden will be going at Epcot also!

I usually go the 2nd or 3rd week in March. Honestly I find the crowd level to be the same as my previous trips in Jan, Feb, April, June, July, Oct, Nov, and December. The only time I found the park not crowded was the first and second week of September, but this was at least 15 years ago so things may have changed since.

March 7-14 is Spring Break for many if not most Texas public schools. Not as big an impact as Jersey Week but some.

In January, the Marathon Weekend is the 8th through 12th and MLK Day is the 20th. IME the Marathon doesn’t impact park crowds so much.
