I plan on visiting universal (both parks) during our January visit on
Sunday-Jan 22nd
Monday-Jan 23
Thurs-Jan 26
This is all sandwiched in with our current Disney plans. We already have a condo so to us it just doesn't make sense to try to stay in a universal hotel just for the express pass. Quite honestly the prices for the passes don't appeal to me either. However.... Reading this board has made me paranoid that it will be a miserable experience with many lines just because we don't want to pay extra. I have to say in this sense, Disney is winning for me. EMHs are one thing but giving people express passes who are willing to spend the high money on hotel rooms just kind of rubs me the wrong way. With Disney at least if you know how to work the parks, you can have the same day as anyone else. Okay enough griping.
Given those days do you guys suggest the express passes or do you think we will be fine during a slower time of year? Are all the concerns mostly summer and holiday concerns or is it a year round concern? I think we will probably do the both park access tickets because the price for that is nominal but any suggestions on which park to start at that sunday would be great. I have heard Saturdays are bad but sundays are great. Also I hear that thursdays are great. Monday is a slight concern but it really just works with our plans.
