Hi there,
Jeff and I just got back from a weekend at Disney/ his parents house and I just wanted to say how perfect January is at Disney. I loved it so much that I keep saying all weekend that I wish I would have picked it for our weekend. But, I was afraid that my guests would be too wiped out after the holidays. So to anyone considering January, my vote is for it! The weather is perfect just floats around 77 with a nice breeze. At night it can get cool but we are talking 54, so thats nice with just a sweater. I love how it feels during the day, no one ever complains of the heat. Besides being gorgeous out, the crowds are,, what crowds? We walked right onto Tower of terror and the longest wait we did was 35 mins for the new toy story ride. There wasn't even a wedding that Saturday. ( the Reverend did say that it was unusual for even January) Disney knows that this is a great month as I am sure most of you do because it is a value season. This was the weekend when Disney has it marathon, that in itself could define how comfortable it is during this time of year. Hey, maybe I will rethink that date, September is going to be so hot, but that 3 day weekend is nice.
P.S. I:lovestruc s this where I post this? I dont have a Planning Journal yet because I'm not sure where or how to start one. and I know what a DF is but what does the d stand for?

Thank you
Brandi

The "d" is for Disney

Disney or Darling

We are looking forward to our January honeymoon.

January is a good month. Its the off season, both for vacations and for weddings. That means that you can nagotiate better with Vendors and the parks, resports, roads are less busy!
The only concern I would have to brides considering the month, is that if we receive a cold front, it can get pretty chilly. Sometimes we even get Freeze/Frost warnings overnight.

If your from up north this may be a laughable idea, but remember when you come to visit Florida, your expecting bathing suites, shorts and tank tops. Which you can't wear in January in Central Florida. Although you still get the Sun! Another thing to remember is the humidity tends to be a lot higher here year round, even when its cold, the air is moist which makes cold weather just a bit colder. (it gives you that chill to the bone feeling)

Now if you like cool sunny weather, January is a good time. Just don't expect to be laying out and catching yourself a tan.

Happy Planning!

I agree January is such a beautiful time, we were in Disney last weekend and the weather was amazing

We went last January and it was great. Perfect weather (70s and sunny most days and 50s and cloudy only one day). Parks were pretty empty.

I wish our honeymoon was in January. June is going to be the complete opposite.

I did January last year and loved it!! Low crowd levels and no humidity it was perfect :goodvibes and we got to catch the end of the Christmas events and see the marathon events at really low prices

January is a very nice time to go. I love it! Perfect weather.

Im soooo excited i'm goin to disney on the 25th and metting w/ our disney wedding planner. and spending my bday down there soooo excited!!!!

I completely agree!

We were just there for our planning session and menu tasting two weekends ago and we were all agreeing how fantastic the weather is in January too! After coming from a down coat and earmuffs, it was a breath of fresh air to walk around in a tank with flip flops...AND not sweat! We've always vacationed there mid to late June when it's almost oppressive.

YAY for Dis in January! :cloud9:
