January 30, 2014 - Disney Dream - 3 Night Bahamas

I've never done the FE thing before, but is there a point/number of people where we might decide to split the list in half? Last count, I have 33 people (12 rooms), and I'm starting to get worried about being able to fit everything in my luggage! (we are flying down) Any thoughts?

I've only done it once before, but I'm happy have it split if that's the consensus, especially with such a short cruise.

If the group decides to split, I'm okay with that. The group is growing, and that might hinder others from joining if it continues to do so. I'm just excited to be able to do it. Lol.

I guess the other participants can chime in, and then we can make a decision once the 17th gets here and we have a final number.

I'll be good either way (& I'm waiting to see if my mother in law and father in law want to participate. So anybody else have thoughts? Making it fun!

I like the idea of waiting until Friday (the 17th) and deciding then. I'm ok as it is now, but if we have more families join, I'd probably be in favor of splitting.

Anyone out there more likely to join if we split in half (so 15-20 people vs. 30-40)? Definitely want to encourage folks to participate!

I wish we could join the FE, but with the amount of travel we have in the next two weeks it would be impossible to pull off.

I hope it is lots of fun for those participating

Excitement has turned into stress. I want to do this FE thing but the entire process is stressing me out. I have no FE (I want to make one) and I feel as though time is running out. What should I do?

Don't stress! We just use a disney tote bag for our FE because I am not a sewer and sometimes we have 7 and sometimes 3 so getting one customized didn't work!

I will not judge you for your fish extender!!

And if more people join we can split it to decrease stress!

If it is going to stress you out, pass. A cruise is not supposed to be stressful

It should be fun. Don't let it stress you. There are so many ideas on this board on ways to make one. Start there, and go with the one that seems the easiest for you.

Focus instead on how much fun it would be to choose goodies and how happy your recipient would be to receive it.

I hear you! I don't have one either, but I'm going to wing it. Maybe alter a shoe hanger. Also saw someone vertically tie together three pencil bags (they each had holes for 3-ring binders). And as others have said, you can always just hang a bag.

But I am stressing about 30+ gifts :) I was planning on doing something homemade (which I love!), but that is a lot, and with a full-time job and the fact that we are leaving for our trip in 10 days, it does seem a bit overwhelming! As someone else said, maybe more will join, and we will split it.

In the end, I think it will be super fun to do and we will be happy we did when on board!

Hi :wave2:

We'd love to join the FE but we'll be flying over from the UK so could only really manage it if you decide to split the list so that there is less to organise/squash in our bags. This is who we are:
Me
DH
DS 4 years (Mickey and Pooh Bear)
DD 16 months (Minnie and Tinkerbell)
Still waiting for our stateroom number.

This is our first cruise - very excited :yay:

I bought ours on Ebay--there are tons on Etsy too! Don't worry! I've seen ideas where people use premade bags and simply tie them together! Whatever works! :cool1:

As far as splitting goes, I'm fine either way. We're locals, so will be driving so storage/luggage isn't necessarily a problem! I'd kinda like to wait and see how many are interested and then decide as well!

Can't wait .... like the Disney commercial use to say, "I'm too excited to sleep! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Haven't been on in a few days and wow so excited to see the FE group grew quite a bit!!! As for favorite characters dd grace is tinker bell dd summer is also tinker bell Mine is Minnie and dh is Mickey :) also I'm ok with splitting. I'm getting so excited!!

Wow! Lots of activity. I was travelling for business and was a little behind. FE list (on page 3) now fully updated. So far there are 13 staterooms. We can wait until Friday, But I would vote on splitting into 2 groups.
