January 3, 2011 - 5 night Bahamas Sailing

Forgot to mention...We had a pirate themed FE with the kids initials on it. A friend of mine made it for me as a surprise Xmas gift. We had a red with white cotton fur and an embroidered "D" Xmas stocking we were going to use, but then the surprise came. Since the FE only had 2 pockets, I decided to use both, in case there was overflow. Anyway, I put the stocking behind the FE on our 1st night aboard the ship. That next morning, the stocking was gone! Our room steward said he would notify the other stewards, and if any of them saw it in any of the rooms they were cleaning, they would report it. Well, no word ever came of it. Since we retained the FE it was not a horrible loss, but I was just wondering if anyone else have any trouble with stealing during the sailing. ?

One of our "Pascal" magnets was stolen - the red Pascal. The magnets were re-organized a few times, but only 1 of our 4 Pascal's were stolen. DD cried!

I'm not sure I should respond to this because I'm not sure how it's going to come across.....I hope not in a negative way....

I ***think*** we did. I hesitate saying this because I don't want to accuse someone of something that they did or did not do. But I think we were missing some FE gifts. One of the reasons why I say that is when we were delivering our FE gifts, I saw things in other people's FE that we did not get in ours. Even in our friends room right next to ours, they received things I didn't. I think we received 17 different gifts, which according to my tally, is short a few gifts. We were on floor 2, right outside the tween club. NOT saying they are to blame, it could be possible that anything could have happen. Our magnets were always moved around too.
Not a big deal, I believe in karma!

Hi everyone. We got back last week but just got our computer from the shop on the weekend.

We had a fantastic time on the cruise. It was our first so we have nothing to compare but we loved pretty much everything, even DH who is a Disney Scrouge. Our servers (Ralph and Limbert) and room steward were great. We thought the food was very good. The shows were great. We loved Castaway Cay and DS and I even went in the water on the first day. DS spent a couple hours every day in the kids club while we relaxed in the adult pool area reading. We even loved our table mates for dinner so much that we went to dinner on our last night dispite eating at Palo for dinner (we didn't eat again but DS had his dinner).

I wanted to thank everyone for the FE gifts. DS was so exited coming back to the cabin everyday to see if we got anything. I was a little stressed about it before we left because I was feeling so sick and tired for about six weeks before the cruise thanks to morning sickness but am so glad we participated. (I am also thankful that I started feeling better about a week before we left and wasn't sick at all on the boat).

Christina - I think some of your FE stuff may have walked because we definitely received more than 17 gifts. We were also very near the tween club but on the other side of the boat. We had a big bag so it would have been harder to get stuff out of it than a traditional FE. We did have trouble delivering one of our gifts because there was no FE out when we did our initial delivery but I am sure they were on the 6th deck and we did end up delivering it later in the week. I sorry to all who had stuff go missing, that is really crappy.

We can't wait to go on our next cruise.We haven't booked anything yet but are thinking April 2012.

ETA- We did get one thing "stolen". Our water bottle with a filter built in it. But I really can't blame anyone but DH since he left it on a table. He also left our camera behind at the concierge lounge at AKL. Our camera was thankfully turned in or I may have killed him.

We were on the 6th deck right near the midship elevators and in a pretty high traffic area and I really worried that our FE or stuff would walk. We did zip tie the FE to the Fish. But, I dont "think" any gifts walked. Sometimes our magnets would be moved, but none were taken. I did include our cabin number in the corner of each, so, maybe that is why. And a couple of times I heard people telling their kids "thats not yours" as they passed outside our cabin. When I was taking our stuff down, one person said "oh! That is how I always knew I was in the right place!" So, I think others appreciated it.

I made minis of the magnets we gave out for our FE and DD and I had fun putting them on doors of poeple that had magnets, whether or not they were in our exchange. I think I will do that again next year.

Our gifts were the Journal with a Mickey pen, The ornament with with actual sand from Castaway Cay, glow sticks and the door hanger.(4 cabins for Georgia3 friends/family) I hope everyone got those items.
Were there luggage tags, no one received those in our groups - we were all on deck 6 by the elevators? Just curious if those walked?

Hello all,
We were on deck 2 and I decorated our door with lots of Mickey ears and coloring pages of Mickey/Minnie. When I was packing and taking the magnets off the door I noticed that someone gave us a magnet and I was so pleasantly surprised. So, Elangen, if you gave us the gift we really appreciate it. We did not participate in the FE because we logged into this forum just 1 week before the cruise. We had a blast and booked another and hope to cruise again in October 2012.

There was also someone on deck 2 with an Ariel FE outside their door, but who were not on the list. DD loves Ariel, so we made a little bag of Butterfinger bells candy and stuck it in there. DD couldn't not give some thing to the Ariel FE

Does ANYONE still have the fabulous music CD we received as an FE gift? I think it was from the Kage family. I LOVED my disc and played it ALL the time, and now it has been displaced. I am hoping that someone could send me the download of it, so I can reproduce it. I am heartbroken. I was my little way of re-living the vacation...especially when I played the part with the horn blast. My fingers are crossed...
