January 3-11, 2006 and Marathon

Just booked a trip for Wilderness Lodge. After booking, I learned that WDW Marathon is set for January 8 and January 9, 2006. Has anyone been there during the marathon? If so, did it negatively impact your trip?

DW and I went during Marathon wekend 2004. The parks were not busy at all, but the traffic outside the parks was busy!
We used Disney transportation and they knew the best ways around, so it wasn't too bad.

All in all it was a great weekend to go. The weather was a little chilly the 1st night and we ended up buying a blanket for the Fantasmic show. But the rest of the time was great!
