Maybe we could meet up after lunch on the first day, as long as everyone will be getting onboard by then.... or maybe meet for lunch? just an idea to throw out...

On my previous cruises...we have met up around 2...(about an hour before the lifeboat drill) ...usually on the pool deck by the bar lol...WE should find a place that is kid friendly but not too distracting so our kids can actually meet each other without pulling us all away
What are good locations for a meetup on this ship? Does it have a promenade deck with a cafe? Thoughts?
I definitly think it should be a bit later in the day than earlier...so of us might have a longer drive and might not be on deck till a bit later...

We won't be able to play with excursion or itinerary until our 90 days out and that just next month...

On a previous meet, we met by the mickey pool at 200pm.

What time is everyone planning on boarding? Does after lunch at 2:00 work for everyone?

Ramon, did it work out well meeting at the Mickey pool? Seems it would be a good place to keep the younger ones busy and they can play together? And mintee, there's a bar right there

Meeting at the Mickey Pool was good since you were near the buffet and soda station. Someone made us each Green Mickey Head Buttons with our names so we could be identified easier. They mailed these out to us in advance. Kids got to play in the pool while parents chatted. Great thing about the buttons was that a few families either forgot about the meet, or were late getting to the ship and they could be spotted by their buttons later in the cruise.

So if anyone wants a button, I'll be willing to get some made up with your logon name or real name. just let me know and pm me your address, so as I get them made up, I can mail them to you.

Great idea about the buttons! One my last cruise...I waited and waited at the bar..trying to figure out who was in my meetup and finally just started asking people who were also drinking at the bar. I am in for the button!
I think as long as one person per family has one...we should be good

We hope to be there early too. I am sure 2 would be fine. I am getting sooooo excited!! We still haven't booked airplanes yet but I'm sure we will in the next month. I've thought about just booking each way seperate and trying to get a deal that way. Don't know yet. Anyway is the fish extender still at 9 girls and 4 boys? I'm trying to tie up loose ends....

We finally! got our excursion kit today (cover letter says it was printed 8/30!). I was getting a little nervous - I logged on to DCL just to make sure our reservation was still there! lol

I only have a few button left from a scout activity, so I can make them for the DIS members. However, I'm can make stickers for family members to wear if that's ok. If I do buy some more button materials, then I can make a generic one for family members.

You're right we only need the 1 per DIS member and we can introduce our family. Besides after that we should be able to know each other or they could wear the stickers! (which i bet the kids would love even better if you have that capability!)

OK, have a question for the group. This is our first Fish Extender Giving. Do you do only kids or kids and parents?

Second question. Would you all prefer buttons or lanyards with the heavy duty plastic card with logo on it. I can probably do lanyards for everyone (Kids and Parents) if my printer doesn't act up.
