Hi,
I am going to be at US on january 23rd and was wondering if it will be busy.

Is it possible to do both parks in one day at that time of the year?

That's a Wednesday during slow season, so you should be fine to do both parks in one day.

Depending upon what you want to see and how much you want to do, you may want to get there early to fit everything in.

Have fun.

Thanks. I will be getting there at open. I wish they would release the hours.

thanks for the info.

Listen to Nessa...she's right on! The hours should be released soon.

Hey Scottny! I see you over at the POR board. We will be planning a Universal/WDW trip for Jan in a few years....if the Harry Potter park is open then but even if not we will probably still go to Universl, they kids have never been and its 15 or so years for DH adn I!!!

I hope after your trip you tell us how Jan was. We would be going around the end of the month.

Have fun!!

I found this yesterday about the HP park, let me tell you I need the park to open Dec 2009 so I can go Jan 2010. I guess I'll make my Jan ressies and hope it opens then change as need may be:

Opening Date: Between December 15, 2009 and June 30, 2010
Location: Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida, USA
Website: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

On May 31, 2007, Universal Studios and Warner Bros. announced that "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter," a Harry Potter theme park, will open at Universal Orlando Resort in late 2009 or early 2010. The park will be located at Universal's Islands of Adventures theme park. At the time, they announced that "the fully immersive, themed land will enable guests to visit some of the most iconic locations found in the books and the films, including the village of Hogsmeade, the mysterious Forbidden Forest, and even Hogwarts castle itself."

Author JK Rowling said, "The plans I've seen look incredibly exciting, and I don't think fans of the books or films will be disappointed." The park will "feature immersive rides and interactive attractions, as well as experiential shops and restaurants that will enable guests to sample fare from the wizarding world's best known establishments. Also debuting will be a state-of-the-art attraction that will bring the magic, characters, and stories of Harry Potter to life in an exciting way that guests have never before experienced."

A filing made with the SEC in August 2007 stipulated that the park will open to the public sometime between December 15, 2009 and June 30, 2010.
