January 2024 Refurbs:

Mark Twain Riverboat. September 17 to ???
Also, looks like the Mark Twain will be down for 5 to 6 months. Disneyland is replacing all the flooring as well as repainting. Don't expect it back to February or March.

Astro Orbiter: November 20 to ???

Blue Bayou Restaurant: January 7th to January 19th. Reopens January 20th.

Sailing Ship Columbia: January 8th to January 12th.

Grizzly River Run: January 8th to ???

World of Color: January 8th to January 18th. Reopens January 19th.

World of Color Dessert Party: January 8th to January 18th. Reopens January 19th.

Haunted Mansion: January 22 to ???.

Disneyland Railroad New Orleans Square Station: Station is closed from January 22 to ???.

SW will be removal of holiday overlay and HM also will be removal of overlay and new renovations as well.

I do not think Jungle Cruise was decorated this year, when it is decorated, it goes down for about a week.

There are one or two little holiday additions to Jungle Cruise this year but definitely not a full Jingle Cruise overlay so no concerns there.

I thought the Jingle Cruise overlay was adorable and I really wish they still did it at DL instead of just WDW now.

So historically, HM usually goes down first and IASW goes down second, but I think this is maybe the 3rd time in the last 10-15 years where they flipped it.

If history is a guide and there are no extended closures, it will likely look like this:

IASW overlay removal (prediction): January 8-18
HM overlay removal (prediction): January 22-February 1

Overlay removals have historically started on a Monday and do not start going into a weekend. I'll post the historical dates below in a moment:

Yeah, as I read that article, I thought "oh they can just work on exterior and reroute people onto the ride away from construction" but then they mentioned the elevator at the unload area and I don't see a way they will keep the ride open with that happening... unless the elevator is a long way away from the ride track.

It'll just be easier to keep it closed during the winter months, ah well.

Recently they’ve gotten the WDW one down to a day to install and no closure to remove. I think the last DL Jingle Cruise was about 5 years ago.

I went on it last time I was there for the holidays on 2021. Def not 5 years ago unless I slept for 3 years haha. Unless I'm truly misremembering

EDIT: oh I might be now that I think about. We normally like to close the day with JC but I think that year we closed with HM. Mmh.
